Latest BBTS package is taking an awfully long time to arrive, I expect som customs and parcel force abuse to arrive quite soon.

The saga of the missing Generations 2011 Volume 1 rumbles on. This morning I had an email from HLJ: Unfortunately, your order xxxxxx which was sent to the address as shown below has been returned to us.
According to the message marked on the box, the package was never claimed at your post office. Please let us know how we should handle your shipment.
In a situation such as this, we will accept the merchandise back for credit or to reship it, but the additional shipping charges will be your responsibility. Never collected? Post Office never told me it was here. No red slip. And without the red slip the post office do nothing. I shall be going to have words with them later. so now HLJ will charge me extra postage to get it back to me again.

The seller has agreed to send a replacement item, at their own expense.
I wonder where Royal Mail will send it. I had thought restricting myself to items that can fit through the letterbox would be safe, but apparently not.

Dear Royal Mail: the comic could have fitted through the letterbox. How do I know this? Why, I use the same comic company every week and their packages fit fine through the letterbox. Why thankyou, Royal Mail, now I have an unnecessary 2hours+ journey to the sorting office to fit in at some point next week.
Oh and the time stated on the 'you weren't in' card? Utter lies. I was in at that time!!!

And AGAIN!
FOR FUCK'S SAKE!
Apparently ordering comics is now beyond me too. They can't even be arsed to deliver things which fit through the letterbox now. That's 3 times in the last week.
I wish I could switch to a different mail carrier.

I have never had problems with items not being delivered. You can use my address as a mail drop if you like.

The point is, I shouldn't have to.
I hate Royal Mail. I hate them. Their service has been shit for the 2 years I've been here.

Yeah, the post office still has an obligation to provide a universal service and they are singularly failing to deliver that in Ralph's case.

Why, I use the same comic company every week and their packages fit fine through the letterbox. -Ralph I went there today. There should have been 5 packages over 4 deliveries. There were 4. One has gone walkabout. Yes, the envelopes did indeed contain comics from my usual supplier. The same packaging that has many times fitted through the letterbox before. I can only conclude then that no effort was actually made to deliver them. And one has gone missing. Well that's me done with ordering comics online. There's no point anymore. I have items pre-ordered until November but from December it'll be a mix of Panini newsstand collector editions, trades friends can get for me or digital versions. Well done, Royal Mail. You've lost some business. -Ralph

One of the comics.
Too many things go missing. Too many items aren't properly delivered. The postal service round here is a disgrace.

I can understand you giving up ordering things. If I'd had your experiences with them just not being bothered I'd be of the same mind.

I must be continually grateful that postal services around here are so far *touch wood* very reliable, after a busy summer even the parcelforce driver recognises me now.

I may have a new entry in this cannon.....
Those who know me know I print my postage labels LARGE BOLD TO LABELS and small from labels with the word from in big capital letters at the top.
Therefore when Liz came home today with a set of receipts for my latest load of ebay dispatches and I sat down to enter the tracking codes in I was a little disconcerted to find that one of the destination post codes on the receipt was ours.
Be interesting to see where that ends up.
