Got the bug again at the moment. Recent pickups include...
- Rotorstorm - Air Patrol - Bumblebee (SS86) - Chromia (Legacy) - Scoop (Thrilling 30) - Ramjet (Classics)
Kinda tempted by Filch, too.

Got Pissing Link out today and i am well pleased with it. The Missing Link format still magical, the weird orangeness adds novelty value, and the trailer is pretty good too. One thing of note is the red plastic decoder, which is much thicker and harder than the original ones. I noted that the designer talked about problems with these decoders, and I wonder if the two are related.

G1 Pretender Landmine (without helmet) on ebay yesterday and a boxed Omegatron for 41 quid today (missing the wee red clips and a bit of damage, which I am sure I can fix).

I have a complete Omegatron I bought in the 80s, recently repaired so the electronics work again by a friend (which I got very excited about on here). He's complete but I don't have his box any more.

Tbh given how many Omegatrons come up missing the clips, it's a good shout to have moulds for them. They tend to shift quickly any time I have seen them on a table anywhere.

Finally freed Sandstorm and he is lovely, but hoo-boy I can see why the chest is causing problems. Instructions not clear and not much clearance to move things around might well prove infuriating in future.

Tell you what though: Sandstorm is hitting something very right. Maybe it's the heft? It's very much like a proper 'toy' update, unlike all the overtly Sunbow TF's we've had. The only downside is the head. It doesn't work. They've given him the Sunbow helmet with the toys face and it's a halfway house that doesn't really sit well in either direction.
I assume the simpler helmet shape was due to the transformation, but that should have meant going all in on the Sunbow face.

Sandstorm is very good indeed. Substance, play value, superb G1 update. One of the best.

I'm loving the helicopter mode, it's great. The buggy less so. I keep looking at it thinking I haven't got it transformed right, it seems to have a kink in the middle. Either that or the cab is supposed to be tilted forward.

I had the same feeling. Kept going back to the instructions to see if I’d missed something, and though it did take me a while to get the buggy mode clipped together right it’s definitely a little… off. Still decent though, and it rolls well!

I prefer the buggy mode, it's more interesting to look at than the helicopter. He does need the cage though, leaving that out does make it look a bit empty.

Picked up a boxed AM Prime and AM Megatron at the NEC on the weekend, first time I've had a Megs, quite fun!
