Although enjoyable I have felt that this series has been treading water slightly for a few issues now. Pleased to say #14 is top notch stuff and left me wanting more.

I was actually getting bored of this series and felt that the interesting plots were being overshadowed by the incessant need to stick in a one-liner (which I personally found were hit and miss as to how funny they were and made some of the characters come across as 12 year olds ), but issue 14 is a peach. The tone is nicely balanced and the tension well-judged. Looks like it's going to be bedlam next issue.

Although it is a bit convenient it is well handled that Overlord knows enough of the brain skills stuff to turn the tables on Chromedome.
And never, never threaten/turn your back on Chromedome!!

I'm getting that LSOTW thing where I both couldn't wait for and couldn't bare to read the next issue. It is clearly going to be brutal.
Full props to Milne again, his art just seems to get better and better, and the colouring is superb.
Roberts continues to subtly enrich the IDW-verse and give great characterisation. Loved the line about crowds being in one colour.
All round greatness!

Another great issue. There's a palpable sense of threat on every page and I too am almost dreading the next issue - James, don't hurt the crew:-) well, you can have Rodimus, who was my favourite character when I was 7, but you've made me love characters like nut job, so you can't just kill them all!

Loved most of the first 13 issues, but now it looks like it's taking on the tone of LSOTW which I didn't enjoy. (I've never enjoyed super-sadistic-villain massacre issues, going back to 'Time Wars', 'On the Edge of Extinction', 'Reaching the Omega Point' and G2.) I hope it's just a couple of issues of Overlord and then back to the quirky fun again. I suppose my perception of issue #14 is also slightly coloured by the fact that my recent purchase of a Blu-ray player and ownership in advance of a number of Blu-Ray/DVD Double Play sets meant I happened to re-watch 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' just the other day. Heh. Good point. I suspect James might be planning something clever with his green glow of doom stuff.

Don't forgot that when Tailgate attempted to donate his energon to the wounded Cyclonus it appeared to be the same shade of green as the mystery rock in this issue's prologue. Could Tailgate prove to be the first Autobot phase-sixer?
Shadowplay. Betcha!

How long does it usually take for Comixology to lower the price of #14?

Thats what I thought too.
With issue 15 being available I assumed that would be 4 weeks. Wonder if its the end of this week.

Issue 15 (the Milne cover) must surely deserve an award for most violent TF cover ever!

Quite.
Although I do feel Overlord was dealt with a little too easily for it to be over already....
And if Tailgate is a 99%er or whatever they were called I reckon Magnus (or Pipes) isn't yet on the way out.
Loved Ratchet's last words though!

I've never enjoyed super-sadistic-villain massacre issues, going back to 'Time Wars', 'On the Edge of Extinction', 'Reaching the Omega Point' and G2 I take it back! Issue #15 wasn't one of those after all. Much better. (More like the final part of Matrix Quest.) Most of the fighting was off-panel, and it seems Ultra Magnus was the only casualty of the big melee. And I don't think he's dead. The battle as a whole came across more as a big punch-up than a massacre, and there was a lot of welcome humour. I'd like Overlord to be dead but I'm sure he isn't. I have to say, Prowl and co. rebuilding him was the stupidest thing ever done by a TF this side of the Autobots ignoring Earth for 20 years in RG1. Art-wise, the top half of page 21 is particularly magnificent. Martin

Another great issue, though I think I preferred the previous few. There's an unevenness in tone which threw me out of the main story in places.
Spoilerific thoughts:
Poor Pipes! Roberts does write good death scenes though, very affecting and he does get a moment of heroism.
I had similar thoughts re: Tailgate and Magnus, but UM's death has already been foreshadowed and he's had a good character arc. It would sadden me but feels kind of inevitable at this point. Unless this is what Roberts meant on Twitter about changing his plan. It would also be a pretty awesome thing for Ratchet to add to his CV if he really can save him.
There is no way that is the end of Overlord, and it looks far from conclusive for Rewind, and I don't think we were even really meant to think it would be, but it is a great dramatic moment.
The Lost vibe stuck out at me again this issue.
I have a feeling the next issues are going to be particularly good, that the fall-out of this one is going to provide some great drama.

Good issue, but the story was over too quickly for my tastes. I would sacrifice MTMTE13 for another issue of Overlord, as much I enjoyed #13 at the time.
So, it seems obvious that FortMax will be moved up to the regular cast now. His conversation with Rung shows that he's adjusted to his anger issues (although he may lose his head in battle - Ho! Ho!) and there's an UM-sized opening for him to fill. Plus, Rodimus really needs someone to help him with the strategic side. He was useless in this issue.

He was useless in this issue. As opposed to...? I can't think of any Marvel or IDW issue that I've read when he wasn't useless. Martin

Issue 114 of the Marvel UK comic, is his one and only brush with competence.

Yep, that probably does amount to it. In fairness too, his rubbishness in series comic is not without precedent.... pretty much every issue since the first has made that a central plank of his characterisation.

Some assistance gentlemen.
I am redoing Nick's MTME issue 1 cover recasting the crew as Muppets (in Transformer get up) and need some help with the line up.
Obviously Ultra Magnus is Sam the Eagle, Ratchet is Rowlf and Red Alert Beaker. I need some suggestions for other subjects.

Kermit as Rodimus, which would tempt me to cast Drift as Miss Piggy.
