"Blown over on it's side in the high winds" technically counts as "on the move"

Ominous signs have appeared on York Place and one end of Princess St which shout 'THE TRANS ARE COMING' in big bold letters. An early nomination for typo of the year!

I have seen...THE TRAM!
Not just once...but TWICE!
And...it MOVED!
I had company on the first sighting who can verify that I was not hallucinating.
Naturally the testing of THE TRAM on Princes St has resulted in major bus diversions and my working day involving frustrating TRAFFIC CHAOS.

Four trams? How can you be so wrong? How many trams do you see, Burns?

He's now claiming he's seen FOUR! I bet he'll love them when he gets to ride on one I won't be on one for several reasons: -It only goes to the airport and back so only of use if going on a plane or meeting someone coming from a plane. Last year I had to go to the airport 0 times. -There is already a bus that goes there. It is more regular, cheaper and faster than what the tram is stated to be when passenger service begins. -It represents a huge drain on public finances resulting in massive closures and cuts in public services. It represents a threat to services continuing for vulnerable people I support and also a threat to my livelihood as more services may go under as it it continues to be subsidised when operational. When I see a tram I see the prospect of it literally making me unemployed. It is in many ways a useless thing to me. I don't even have to actively avoid using it! -Ralph

I like the way they find the silver lining of testing emergency procedures.
And how they dodge the question of what happens if a tram breaks down at an intersection.

The airport bus service is adding an extra stop and will now run 24 hours. So...award winning...free wifi...quicker...more frequent...cheaper...goes to more places...
Or folk could use the slower, more expensive airport tram.
WHO WILL WIN?

The Tram Company will still make a profit even if no-one uses the service at all - the Local Authority have agreed to underwrite a profit guarantee for five years. The tram operators literally can't make a loss.
