Yeah.
If you really think about it, Devastator is a good indicator of how the Transformers line has gone down hill.
We first had G1 Devastor- green and purplse and fairly good moulds with decent poseability for the time period, given that Longhaul and Scrapper could bend their legs at the knee and what not.
Then G2 Devastator retained the great moulds but gave us yellow instead of green.
Then Energon Devastator gave us...well...shit really. But in retrospect he suddenly seems to much better simply because the individual components could transform into individual robots AND merge together.
Then there's that bizzarre announcement by Hasbro during one of the Botcons that gestalts are really hard to make and whine whine whine.
Then there's Movie Devastator.
I just don't understand what's wrong... Pete

Well, that's nice. Somebody read my fanfiction "White Room" which featured a twisted Decepticon doctor named Scalpel, who fit that character profile to a T.
Granted, he turned into a tank and his mould was based off of Armada Megatron (thus his scalpel was his knife) - but still... freaky coincidence.
I feel appreciated.

The same information, by and large, also appears on The Entertainer's web site.

I'm sure Nick will let us know when the TRU delivery turns up.

I agree! Saw that earlier!
Pink robots that combine to form an ice-cream truck? Just take my money, Hasbro.

If those headlights can swivel so that it can look from side to side, or go cross-eyed, even I might be tempted by that one.
Mind you, I only like ice-cream vans in parks. I hate them coming into residential areas with those awful, awful chimes...

I like the look of the helicopter chap... a Micromaster homage _and_ a television station travel 'copter! He's a Micromaster homage? To whom? (Karl doesn't know his Micromasters very well - he has trouble telling them apart in a line-up). He does look quite good though - at least in that mode, I will have to see what his humanoid mode looks like. Here was me thinking I was going to get away with buying very few of the movie toys, I have seen another toy in the assortment that I think I might get. The Ice Cream truck combiner twins amuses me - it looks to have a goodly sized helping of cute on the vehicle mode. I can see me being tempted by them. (Especially as they won't have a sound feature, and will therefore be the best kind of Ice Cream van - a quiet one). Karl

I like ice-cream vans in residential areas. Otherwise, I would never have had many fine iced evening treats when I was a nipper.

It's weird. I see very little Transformers stuff about. Yet, in under a month we're likely to buried under more TF related stuff than we've seen for many a year. Interesting times.
I'm on high alert for edible tat, for a slightly thrilling forthcoming series of Star Dub vids!

I want a Leader Class version with electronic Greensleeves chime, spinning ice cream cone on the roof and a missile launcher that fires Flakes.

I will buy any version of it.
The only way any ROTF toy can beat that is if it turns into a rock.

Proper actual vehicle/robot Constructicons that also combine to form Devastator ! Here!And... in Legends class size! (Could this pave the way for a bigger sized version?)

I am sure, somehow, there'll be a "proper" set that will do it all... even if it's released as TFTROU comes out in 2011.

Indeed. Who knows what the later Premium series might offer. and also maybe later, ROTF Arcee could have a Bulletbike repaint

I do quite like that those little fellas. Aesthetically they don't really interest me, and at this stage I'm not sure that I can see myself buying them. But it is nice to see that they exist and can apparently do things that are said to be physically impossible with their larger brethren.....

I grabbed a Fallen Dave Soundwave today from the Entertainer. He looks awesome. I'm not too wild on the Bumblebee though.
I hope these two don't end up far into peg-warmer territory like the other preview toys did. Perhaps an earlier release of these two previews would have been a wiser move.
