Well they played well, but left themselves with too much to do (Liverpool of course).
Need to find some kind of consistency to try and ensure European football next session.

Now, I bear a certain resemblance to Martin O'Neill when my hair is mid length and I am clean shaven. However, today upon walking the dog, some kids were hurling insults at me. They shouted "Mr Benitez" as in Rafa. How I chuckled, whatever happened to kids calling you wanker and the like.
Anyhoo.
That's the Premiership sorted now and QPR going down after today's game. Meanwhile my local team Dunfermline got pumped again. I knew they would as my dad went to see them. Every time he goes to see them, they get beat without fail.
Rangers managed to come from a goal down to win. I just think as soon as the Transfer embargo is lifted that McCoist is going to get his jotters. I love him, but I just don't think he's cutting it as a manager, I hope I am proved wrong, but I can't see it.

Hah! I'll have you know when I played football I did not always pass sideways!
But speaking of Lambo. I think he and Villa will avoid relegation by the skin of their teeth.

Bit pointless Chelsea fans having a go at this point, they know its only til the end of the season. Rafa does like to have a go, owner ain't covered himself in glory, but Chelsea fans never blame him!

Bloooooooody ell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was the most amazing game I have ever been too. Hull City promoted in the only way it could possibly have happened. 2 pitch invasions. 2 Injury time penalties. A red card I didnt even see. And then waiting for 15 minutes for the Watford Leeds game to end to know if we got up or not.
Phew, after such a nut job season I'm almost looking forward to the predictability of next season, even if it means being hammered ever week.

Brilliant Hull! Welldone! Fantastic. My parents are from Hull, so where I wouldn't say I 'support' them (my Dad is more of a rugby man), I do have a pleased smile when they do well. Who do they play in the semi? Do we know yet?

Well the dust has settled on the season.
All in all a very underwhelming Premier League season. Was sorry to see Hull go down, but Bruce was right they weren't good enough at the end of the day. Mind you a fitter Nikica Jelavic might have made a difference.
Think Rodgers at Liverpool is pretty much 50/50 at the moment.
Good to see Norwich back up, they put Boro to the sword early on today and there really was no way back after that.

Hull deserved to go down, but the frustrating thing is that they raised their game almost everytime they played top half teams and despite not being able to score pushed them all hard. But against bottom half teams they never looked as good. The worst two games I saw were at the KC against Burnley and Leicester (at times when both teams were playing poorly) they were utterly useless. If they had played even half as well as when they drew with Arsenal, Man City, Beat Liverpool or pulling two back against Chelsea, they would have slaughtered both of them and been safe.
Injury wise Diame I suspect wasa huge loss, they looked lethal with him in the team. Plus side Bruce and Hull looked strong in the championship 2 years ago, if they keep some of the premier league signings they should be at least competitve next season.
And hte name change wont happen for the time being.
I suspect Rodgers will stay unless a big name manger becomes available which at this point I hope happens. Dalglish got sacked while doing better.
Otherwise as you say it was all fairly underwhelming.

What the hell is going on with Fifa?!
Sepp Blater is like the Ra's Al Ghul of world football.

It's amusing that Sepp maintains he has nothing to do with corruption, yet his predecessor has been exposed for taking bribes, his preferred successor is one of the people charged...
Fifa are an absolute disgrace, but the other football federations enable it with their mealy mouthed words and kowtowing. The minute it was revealed about the mistreatment and deaths of migrant workers in Qatar, UEFA should have withdrew from the world cup and sponsors should have done so as well.
Only know because of corruption they are thinking about it?
Self-serving cunts.

But in other news my team have their second leg of the play off today to try and get back into the SPL.
We are losing 3-1 at the mo and I don't see us not conceding so we'll need at least 3 goals to get to extra time...
Squeaky bum time.

Oh no. Sorry Boss. Bad to loose. But fighting at the end? Not good. Yeah. The main instigator is an idiot who will be leaving the club anyway. Still it will be better in the long run that we stay down another year. Let's us sort the club out. Andy

And finally Sepp Blatter is on his way out of Fifa.
Is it a fool's hope to wish that this is the start of a bold new era for Fifa and they can finally get their house in order and hopefully help sort out the footballing world?

Good final last night, first time in a while that the CL final has been exciting.
Thought Juve were pretty good, didn't take their chances and were punished. Barca again with the theatrical diving in places which is bloody tedious.
Thought Paul Pogba was very impressive, the size of him and the speed, he is an absolute beast on the park and will only get better.
