BF have another '99 for 99p' sale on again. Most of it is same productions as last time but some other stuff has been added. Snagged the back half of McGann's first series which I had heard on BBC Radio 7 but do not have. It will be good to hear 'Human Resources' again in particular. -Ralph I only got the email with the link to this yesterday. I was really pleased to find the first Pathfinders series going for 99p a story. I bought the first of those and enjoyed it, but couldn't justify paying full price to get the others. Five for a fiver is top!

I am liable to give it a go at 99p an episode. Into the download pile they go.

Standard fantasy tosh, but I love stuff like that. It must have gone down well because they've done two more series since and they were double rather than single CDs.

Burns prevailed. When I got there the Edinburger participating RSD outlet had one each of TOMB and CITY. I relieved them of their copy of TOMB.

Records are such collectible things, but I find I desire them for the physical object, not to actually listen to them. I'm still in the process of transferring the Transformers soundtrack to CD so I can actually listen to it, but being me a straight recording isn't good enough. I'm fiddling with the sound to remove clicks/hiss, lift the bass a little to remove some of the tinniness from the recording (doing this now actually) and splitting it into tracks. It's a heck of a process that is alleviated entirely by buying a CD in the first place.

Just had a text msg from Burns confirming his purchase which has surprised me somewhat!
I was convinced he'd miss out at this time of day

Tragically the only record store in Worcester recently closed, otherwise I'd have nabbed Tomb first thing!!

Even reduced, the Big Finish ones are £80 each. Down from £100! Chimes has been edited into 3x6 episodes hasn't it? That's what makes me HMMMMMM about it, the original was perfectly constructed

Even reduced, the Big Finish ones are £80 each. Down from £100! Yes it's not enough of a sale. After two years they are still stuck with copies of them. Whack them down to £100 for the pair and maybe I'd bite but even then... -Ralph

I can't lie, I almost bought CITY OF DEATH vinyl too. My brain was saying it was one half of a set but my better nature prevailed. There was only 1 copy and there may be another fan in the area hunting for this year's WHO vinyl so I put it back. If it's there in a week...maybe...
Looooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaddddddddddddsssssssssssss of copies of the Fawlty Towers release.

I finally got round to listening to The Anachronauts earlier today (after buying it years ago) and I loved it, probably my favourite Companion Chronicle so far (though I admit I haven't listened to many).

Does this mean the rights for the McGann movie have changed? If so McGann and Grace boxed set would be most welcome.

IIRC it is the original characters created for the Movie that are in copyright hell. The BBC owns The Master.

Yup. Seems to be luck if you can find it. Of the two local big stores, one just recently stopped selling vinyl when the A/V and books section was cut right back to fit an Argos in that bit of the store. I was very surprised to find 6 DW vinyls in the other one mid-afternoon on Friday. Next morning there was 1 left.
I wonder how many are selling to casual fans and how many are selling to pre-existing DW/BF vans and also scalpers. I thought if I saw them locally they might shelf-warm, especially as £18 is above impulse purchase price.

I hope not too many find themselves in the hands of scalpers.
That shit just pisses me off (Sunbow score flashbacks).

I have seen posts online from folk who just wanted copies so they could sell them on Ebay. That kind of shit annoys me. Always predictable when a limited run thing comes out.
There is an ebay seller wanting £89 for a copy. It cost £18 and only came out three days ago.

Got my mum to look back home, none there either
