Finally had a chance to mess around with Ruination plus Ironfist. (which I just paid for, my bad) Found a way to attach Whirl to the back and Ironfist and Roadbuster make the torso look bulkier.  The back looks very good  and still a bit of poseability  |

Those BBTS prices seem kind of steep compared to last year - is the sub itself pricier this year or does this reflect greater interest? I had been thinking of getting G2 Starscream and Serpent OR along with Krok but no am not so sure...

They always start high then adjust based on popularity.
At the current prices the need to sell 5 of the 6 (7) to cover the cost, unless as is suspected they get some kind of discount from FP. but if they add to the preorder I think the last two years the price of the most popular ones went up.
After release the unpopular ones get marked way down. Poor Circuit:(.
I suppose they must be more than breaking even on the popular ones and then getting what they can forth rest.
I am noticing that Treadshot looks good value and Thrustinator is $5 less than the club store, add on their daft postage fees and its probably a fair bit more saved.

Perhaps they pre-adjusted a bit more last year then, as Treadshot hasn't dropped in price at all (I ordered him straight away!). These all seem at the upper end of last year's initial prices.

Got my Chromedome the other day.
First, to whomever called dibs on mine if I chose to pass, I think I'm keeping it.
The mold is about done. It's one of the more heavily used molds of recent times (Wheeljack, Dark Energon Wheeljack, AM Wheeljack, BM Wheeljack, Dead End Wlidrider, chromedome... This is seeker territory). His shoulders don't peg in very easily, and all his pin joints don't have hardly any tension anymore (though ironically his ball joints couldn't be tighter).
Also, it makes a pretty terrible G1 Chromedome. Colorscheme aside, it looks NOTHING like him. The prime style contrasts and looks terrible with the normal classics style. The head is extremely weird and really doesn't work. Be a great Animated CD head, though. But for a normal, it just feels derpy and really doesn't work in 3D.
However it's not all bad. Despite Brown, Red, and Cream being an incredibly boring colorscheme (not FP's fault, chromedome has always been the most uninspired and boring G1deco), this mold wears it REALLY well. Especially in car mode.
Stylor is pretty nifty. It's the first AM I've encountered that actually manages to pull off what it's supposed to. It's not great, but it works.
Overall, it works as Prime Chromedome, and if you're more lax than I am on style, it could be shoehorned into an Animated display.
But if you're looking for a classics Chromedome, you're a thousand times better off with Fans Project Code.
As for me, I'm making him apart of my RiD "Season 2" display.

Kinda suspect that the mystery figure this year will be Windbreaker to get more mileage from the new head, much like they did with Rewind/Eject last year. And you know Windbreaker wins that battle. So I'm waiting to see what happens there.

I really like Krok. Carzap has a fun deco but after Nightbeat I just don't want another version of that mould. Lioconvoy is nice and Serpentor is bleh.
Basically, I'd like Krok because he's a scavenger. The rest I am content to miss.

Wow Tarantulas is worse than I expected. It's not the worst choice of mould (though not great either) and the head works pretty well, but the colours are awful.
I'm starting to want the jets.

I'm still convinced that the transmetal colors should have been the ones to choose.
I think that transmetal colors are more iconic for tarantulas and megatron.
