Have to admit, he looks quite appealing in the plastic and like the choice of Micron for Frenzy.
I forget, did Prowl ever actually show up over here? I meant to keep an eye out for him.

I like it a lot better than I originally did when it was first revealed.

Beautiful colour scheme, like that. I'm beginning to wish I'd paid more attention when this 2.0 line were up for order because I love the Wheeljack mould they've used for Chromedome too.
Is anyone paid up for these? And did anyone do 1.0? Are they worth the expense?

He did, and at discount prices too. Probably means he is now only available at decidedly non-discount prices on eBay! -Jim

Yes, and it depends.
It's a mixed bag, last year. I couldn't care less about Breakdown, even though it's a gorgeous figure. Meanwhile, Ultra Mammoth is the single best toy released in a long time. And while I love Circuit in concept, I sorta feel underwhelmed by him... Like he's TOO faithful, and needs more color. So it all comes to personal taste.
Just like this year I couldn't care less about Chromedome, but am thrilled for Thrustinator. And feel like Transmutate is better than any of their subscription choices.

In fact, he's standing on my desk right now, looking down on Gen Springer despite being a deluxe (such an amazing mould). Of this lot I have a preorder in on BBTS for Treadshot only, though this one is looking like he'd be a tempter at a decent price. -Jim

What mould is that Barricade from? I feel like I should know, but well, I don't!

It's amazing how sticking that Prowl head on the BH Smokescreen body takes it right back to feeling like an Animated toy. I do think Barricade takes it to another level though.

Got my Rampage and Barricade yesterday. I was not expecting Barricade AT ALL, since I subscribed to have half the sub sent at once.
Rampage is a thing of beauty. The paint apps on him are just gorgeous. The gradient paint details are just amazing, and so subtle it looks like the plastic itself is gradient. The "pinhead" isn't as distracting in person as it is in photos. You get used to it quickly and stop noticing it. It also makes him look more massive. This is easily one of the best exclusives FP has ever produced, and definitely the best incentive figure.
Barricade is a mixed bag. I continue to be unimpressed by the arms microns minicons, so while the nod is appreciated, i would have rather had the smokescreen armor as Riot Gear, than Frenzy. While Barricade is one of my favorite characters, and the only good thing to come from the movie franchise, I was not looking forward to this toy as it was a Prime repaint, instead of Universe Prowl. I don't have a Prime collection, i dont like the Aligned continuity, and this mold doesn't work as classics or animated. And the deco doesn't work for repurposing into beast era, like many of my prime toys. So I don't have a ready home for him. However having him, he's mostly an amazing toy (mostly because mine is really floppy on most joints, and right elbow has zero tension, so he cant even hold his gun up). He's a gorgeous deco, and a better mold than I thought it would be. He's very lovingly crafted to movie Barricade, down to his slogan "To punish, and enslave..."
I was originally concidering selling him, but now I think not.

I NEED GB BLACKROCK IN ORDER TO CONTINUE EXISTING!!!!
Krok and Serpant OR look great, despite me not caring about joe characters.
Tarantulas looks odd, and starscream looks off. Need them both.

That Krok has been done as a custom enough times now that it seemed inevitable, but I like it and will have it!
G2 Starscream looks pretty okay, a good G2 homage is something I find hard to resist. Serpent OR is mad enough that I'm quite tempted.

Bad photoshop as usual, but G2 Starscream should be good and Diaclone/early TF Thrust is odd, but will fit my into a G2 style line up. Now just need a G2 type Dirge and Skywarp.
Blocktown style Zap is a great idea, but there must be better moulds for it.
Kroc looks good. Tarantulas too. Only the ~Joe one doesn't interest me much, even then it looks okay.

Krok and Zap are must haves for me. No interest in the others at all. Tarantulas in particular deserves a LOT better. IE, a new toy altogether.

I can see what they're getting at with Tarantulas, the Junkion's bike mode serving as a homage to his TM form vehicle mode

I don't mind it, but I'd still prefer the cybertron Dirt Boss mould that was used in the Botcon comic.

Interesting to see that Botcon feel the Machine Wars set underperformed. I would hazard that is more to do with initial lack of faith in the concept (ie the box was half Beast Machines!) and some really uninspired mold choices (such as a Megaplex who... looks nothing like Megatron)

Last year was a perfect storm, FP got every choice wrong. Location to close to LA, date - to close to Comiccon, but not close enough for people to do both in one holiday. Prices all went up a bit and they had teh least inspired convention line up I seen so far, then we get to the boxset. A boxset that pleased no one. Some wanted the original cast updating to modern moulds as they did with Hoist and Starscream etc, then there was the creating a series 2 option which is what FP claimed they had done, but didn't really at all. Creating a MW series 2 would involve taking an assortment of existing characters attaching to reasonably suitable moulds then doing some random colours. They did the first two parts okay, but them did colour schemes as close to original as the moulds allowed.
So they down played the updated MW guys putting off those who wanted that and then muddied the water by mixing moulds so they didn't look great together.

Dreadwing should have been starscream. Megatron needed to be in the set, while megaplex being the troopbuilder. Much as I love Electro, he, Strika, and Obsidian had nothing to do with the theme. There are so few toys in MW they could have managed every single one.

Got Thrustinator today!
The figure is extremely well realized. It's a genius and simple concept that it's shocking no one has thought of before now. The new head isn't as strong as the concept art. And they never fixed the yellow wasp eye everyone's complained about since day one.
What FP can't help is the mold is showing it's age. Pegs dont hold together well, insect legs pop off too easily. But all joints are still really tight. If this is the very last time this mold is used, it is a poetically beautiful send off.
