Silver Surfer Issue 10 - what a belter of an ending.
Following some folks saying the current Thor series was good, I picked up the rest of the issues. I hated issue 1, not because of poor writing but because it did not feature the lead fucking character. However, it is indeed a great fun series.

Is this the correct thread in which to say
UNCANNY AVENGERS IS FREAKIN' BRILLIANT!!!!!
I haven't read any Marvel for ages, but I had to read the Sentry's 'return'. But the Sentry is just a tiny part of this thrilling story! Such scope and such drama!!! Read vols 2 & 3. Just finished vol 3. Vol 4 ordered.

Personally I preferred the first arc in book 1. More Avengersy. The second and third books feel more like a continuation of Rememnder's previous work, Uncanny X-Force (v2) which I didn't get on with.
Still we've got some Kang due and then we can get back to the Red Skull and Xavier's brain.

Yes I've already got vol 1 on the way to catch up. Vol 1 must've taken place just after Avengers Vs X-Men right? Having lost touch with Marvel, what's been going on since Age of Ultron? In fact, what happened between Avengers Vs X-Men and Age of Ultron?

Uncanny Avengers does come directly out of Avengers vs X-Men.
Age of Ultron happened shortly afterwards but since AoU retconned itself out of existence you needn't worry about it.
The real crunch stuff has been the incursions from other universes seen in Avengers, the original X-Men coming to the present and Peter Parker getting his body back. At least two of these are shortly going to have major consequences.

Cosmic Scoundrels/Liberty Justice Book 1. A massive (original art) sized full colour comic, it's space exploitation cosmic madness and I loved it. You can get a copy here - andyupdates.blogspot.co.uk/Andy

Courtesy of some recent Comixology deals I've read a few comics
I'd read a few issues previously in the UK reprint title but She Hulk 1 really worked for me. The rest of these will be bought when I can get them cheap. EDIT: I got the long box out and I'd read 3, 4 & 5 previously.
Ms Marvel 1-5 Ihadn't read any of before but it's something little bit different. Again I may pick some more issues up if there's a sale.
Black Widow 1 however didn't work as well. Sorry.
I did however like Thor 1. I've got memories of Burns Andu* not enjoying it but it worked for me. Very nice setup. Again, another I may be tempted by in sales.
*I checked and discovered I was confusing my scotsmen.

In a sequel to the last general review I've ordered both he She Hulk trades cheap :-)
Princess Leia 1 I've not read a current Marvel SW comic before. I read little here that makes me want to read anymore.
Silk 1 I quite liked Silk in her Spider Man introduction. Worked better for me than Spider-Gwen 1. High possibility of UK printing in the Panini ASM which means I may get to read it.

Eighth Doctor Issue 1. - A lovely book, a done in one adventure that leads into something else. A McGann more in tune to the earlier BIg Finish than where we see him in The Night of the Doctor, but as this is the first of hopefully several mini series it's not surprising. George Mann turns in a great script, Emma Vieceli does a very expressive, and just the right side of cartoony take on the Doctor and the colours are bright and bold from Hi-Fi.
Worth getting.

Not a title I usually bother with but I had to pick up Marvel Fact Files #149 for it has a Marvel UK focus and mentions the crazy 90's titles that we didn't get!

Edgemont have a new comic special based on the 1977 Star Wars movie on newsstands for four Earth pounds. Next issue is Empire Strikes Back.
In other news, has anyone seen the Wonder Woman Titan comic? For once I want to read a DC title and I can't find it anywhere!

I think I saw that Star Wars special but the art put me off. I saw the Wonder Woman comic this morning. It was pretending to be a Marvel issue hidden behind Avengers Universe.
I tried the second issue of Supergirl in a moment of madness the other week, but the other two strips in that very much confused me so I decided I'd go back to the safety of X-Men.

MICRONAUTS Issue 1 is out. A $4.99 book, but at least does have extra content - sketchbook and script excerpts.
It's a solid first issue, but as with modern comics lacks some of the relentless pace a Mantlotainment offering would give us. It is promising and had a decent pace, but it's hard to give a fig about the new characters. Karza looked good and Acroyear was decent too.
I'll give this a go though, as it is better than the brief image series.
