The lovely Return of the Jedi adaptation was picked up today.
Love the look and feel of the artwork.
They are doing a Phantom Menace adaptation...I know I am doomed to buy it.

Just read the first 5 issues of the current Uncanny Avengers volume via the Comixology Trade sale (I figured I was two months away from the first issues in Pananivision). Good stuff, fun in a way a lot of comics aren't.

Mighty Thor was as good as I remember the previous volume being. The female Thor story has something to it.
Read two issues of The Amazing Spider-Man and it's as poor as I thought it would be. Drawing attention to it in the text with the phrase "Poor man's Tony Stark" and showing armour like glints on Spider-Man really screams Iron Man KO. I'll finish the trade but it all but confirms my decision to quit the Panini title.

I picked up Paninivision Spidey for the Secret Wars tie-ins but it's not impressed me I have to say after being away from Spidey comics for many years. I don't think I'll stay with it now they're done.

Amazing Spider Man. Iron Man KO in every way, shape and form. Multinational company, working with SHIELD, spider armour, Zodiac. and I love The Zodiac as villains! It's like Slott was promised Iron Man and suddenly has to reuse his plots. Two decent moments in 5 issues: when Peter reveals he's bought the Baxter Building and holding it in trust for the FFs return and the hint of who is hiding in the robot. I might give it a go in future sales but this is so removed from what I expect to be reading in Spider Man. Iron Man business as usual. I know Ralph reads this in Paninivision so hiring Mary Jane Watson is an interesting idea Docotr Strange is mad in a good way. Bachalo well suited to the book. Again another sale buy and at an issue a month not enough to getme to buy the new volume of Mighty World Of Marvel

Back to the all new all different stuff
Extraordinary X-Men worked for me, felt more X-Men than most of Bendis' stuff did, even if the first few issues are a basic "putting the team together" story. All New X-Men I struggled with a bit. I'm starting to feel the concept of "teenage original X-Men now" has run it's course somewhat.
Ant Man and All New All Different Avengers left to read.

CAVE CARSON HAS A ROBOT EYE
Fans of Tom Scioli do not despair - the new Cave Carson has a Robot Eye comic from DC has a Super Powers back up series based on what looks like the old Kenner line and the DC Filmation cartoons by way of Tom's demented imagination.
First issue is out today and is quite fun.
Main story isn't bad either.

Last Driver
A kickstarter backed comic co-created by Shaky Kane.
It's a post apocalyptic Mad Max riff with a super macho dude in the role. It's daft, pointless fun - on a par with early Giffen/Grant/Bisley Lobo but with Shaky kane's art.
Fun for what it is.

Picked up Alex Automatic, by Fraser Campbell and James Corcoran. I had backed it on Kickstarter and it debuted at Thought Bubble a few weeks ago.
A gloriously mental book - puts me in mind of a mash up of Mach One and The Prisoner.
Well worth your money.

Superman: The Golden Age V1 picked up for £17.99, for some reason Batman: The Golden Age V1 is priced at £21.99.
Started making my way through it the now. I love big slabs of old school comics.

Read all the issues in the Avengers Standoff crossover this weekend, due to be Paninied shortly. Not bad at all, enjoyed it. Yes the closing issue isn't so good and yes at one point The Wrecker is shown with The Wrecking Crew when he's elsewhere (there's three of them so I'm guessing the artist painted the wrong one)
The Uncanny Avengers issues are the best, but that's not a surprise as that's been really working for me recently and now I can move onto the post crossover issues which I hauled in a sale.

Spider-Man Renew Your Vows.
The 2nd issue to be illustrated by friend of the parish Nick Roche.
Good stuff, classic uncomplicated super hero goodness. Great fun to read, exactly what a Spider-Man comic should be.
