That docking station hasn't given me any problems and its also a neat and tidy way of storing the Wii and its peripherals.

Arrived yesterday and is nifty. I didn't time it, but I noticed it charged the remotes up quickly which is good.
In other news I see Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is out at the end of next month. £25 from the onlines. Wohoo!

There's an update to the Nintendo Channel that finally allows you to see the stats for how long you've played each of your games. I've been waiting forever for this as I'm such a stat whore. There were some surprises on there I can tell you. My number one played game is....
The Internet Channel at 160 hours! Can't believe that. I guess checking the Hub for 10 minutes from your sofa regularly adds up.
The next bunch are:
Animal Crossing: 125 hours. Surprising as I played it MUCH less than the GC or DS versions. I'd love to see the stats for those Zelda: Twilight Princess: 54 hours. Pretty much ties up with the in game save file. Wii Sports: 52 hours. Lots and lots of bowling adds up. Mario Strikers Charged: 50 hours! This was a shock. I didn't touch the single player at all, so this was all online games. I don't really like football, and I don't really like playing competively online (more for the time required to get good rather than anything else). I guess something clicked with this game. Super Mario Galaxy: 48 hours. No too surprising as I got all the stars with both Mario and Luigi (242 in total).
Tell me yours!

I'll have to check up on mine as I played quite a lot on Super Smash Bros Brawl and Mario Kart Wii.

Anyone know of any good 'old fashioned' rpgs on the Wii? I'm thinking more turn based, world map stuff rather than Zelda.

I'm struggling to think of any. I thought that new Muramasa: Demon Blade game was one, but it's an action RPG, so probably more like Zelda. I'll have a dig around.
It's weird how the 360 seems to be the best for JRPGs this generation.

The latest entry in Namco's long running Tales series, Tales of Graces, has just been released in Japan. No word on a UK release date though.
Actually I forgot that there are TONS of RPGs on the Virtual Console. If you are looking for old-school then there's no better place.

Technically, the first two Paper Mario games are turn-based RPG's. I've completed both and I've got nothing bad to say about either one.

Finally got around to completing Zelda: Twilight Princess today which now makes it six Zelda games I've completed with another four I've left shortly before the end.

Looking forward to NSMBWii but I'm holding off purchasing it in case someone opts to get it as an xmas present for me. Which they did! Completed it but not collected all the coins or played all the levels - and I skipped world 7 entirely after unintentionally finding a warp cannon. Going back through now though as I liked the game. However making you flip the remote to spin jump is annoying and I wish Yoshi was in more levels, seems he was just added as an afterthought.

I've almost got all the star coins on worlds 1-8 (only 7 left on world 8), which will leave world 9. It's a really good game but not quite as magical as SMB3 or SMW, mainly as it feels like a homage to those two. I'd have preferred more of a leap forward like what Super Mario Galaxy did for the 3D series, but otherwise I've got no complaints. It's a million times better than the DS game.
World 8 is definitely my favourite - there's just so many crazy ideas (that are usually only in a single level too). The bone-coaster, the killer fog - great stuff.

The Wii version of TF:ROTF has been reduced to 7.99. Buy it if you like Transformers and broken gameplay in the same package.

I know have a Wii, mainly for playing the two Resident Evil rail shooters. Seems a fairly good package overall, I love that I can swap the Stars points for Wii points, I haven't got many but nearly have enough to get one of the Star Wars games on the download service, essentially for free. If Microsoft offered some kind of similar service I'd get about 20 new games immediately. Free wireless connection is also pretty sweet. I baulk at the fact that the only way to get a second black Wiimote is by paying £50 retail, though. I do get the sense that it's slightly more expensive to play the games I want to play properly in terms of peripherals. But the Xbox 360 wireless adapter was an extra £40 or so, so swings and roundabouts really.

Got Tasunoko vs Capcom at the weekend and... hmmm.
It's loud. Thumping music, background sounds, explosive special moves, characters yapping away, the announcer... it's ridiculous. There's a varied unfamiliar character lineup which is fun to fight as and against although there is too much focus on OTT supers. Unfortunately you can get to the end fight by button mashing. There seems to be something up with the rankings in online fights as I frequently come across 0% winners who are quite clearly masters - although thinking about it, that's probably people who keep resetting their profile so they can have a perfect score. Online play is either silky smooth or completely unplayable with nothing in between, which can be annoying if it's the latter.
Overall I'm disappointed and have actually had more fun these past few days with Street Fighter Alpha 2 which I grabbed from the Shop Channel.

Picked up Monster Hunter Tri today. Anyone else got it?
Waiting for No More Heroes 2, but that will probably plummet in price, so happy to wait before buying it. Pre-ordered SMG2 too, yeah.

SMG2 has arrived early, weeee.
It's come with a tutorial DVD and a crib sheet on moves so that you don't forget how to wall jump, spin etc.
Now one of my complaints of modern games is that they have in game tutorials that you can't skip (when it's quicker to read the manual although it is sometimes easier to learn by doing, but what if it's your second play through?).
So is it possible here that they have provided- -In game tutorial -Game manual -Crib sheet -Tutorial DVD
That's a lot of hand holding!
Started playing Monster Hunter Tri properly at the weekend, graphics are gorgeous for the Wii. Loads every 5 seconds in the outside sections. Yet to get to the meat of the game where you can go hunting in groups, but kinda like it so far.

I'll have to get SMG2 at some point. I don't play many modern games these days at all but I completed SMG1 despite early teething issues I had with the controls. The whole atmosphere of SMG1 was excellent but I did find the final battle with Bowser a little too easy. Nevertheless, I'll still get SMG2 as I expect it to be better than SMG1 which in itself came very close to burying the legendary SM64.

Where did you order SMG2 from Stom? I'll be picking mine up on Friday. I've been holding off starting any long games because of it. To that end I played and completed World of Goo last weekend. High recommended if you like Lemming's style puzzlers.

Ordered No More Heroes 2 now that it's down to £18 from Amazon, that didn't take long.
Playing through SMG as Luigi before playing SMG2, burning through the first batch of worlds. Figure it will cut down on time to complete if I get as many stars early on, not sure I can go for all 120 with Luigi. Forgot how good the game is! And SMG2 is meant to be even better, oh my!
Bit. Trip. Runner. on Wii Ware looks ace!

Yoshi FTW!!

120 stars with Luigi now in SMG1 Got stupidly frustrated on Luigi's Purple Coins trying to get every single one, then I read the sign at the start and realised there were 150 coins and I only needed 100... Egads, did it on the next try, lol.

It's very relaxing to knock off a couple of stars just before bed. No that's not a euphemism. Yeah it is.

Up to about 20 stars in SMG2 now too!
Game is a lot harder than SMG1, that's for sure and I'm only in World2!! Who knows what Nintendo have in store.
Got all possible stars so far and comet medals, except for on the first galaxy. Hrm... Probably unlock it later.
Hungry Lumas on levels now eating coins!! Yes!! At last coins have a point other than acting as a high score for a level and health.
Really enjoying it so far, which is a good sign considering the amount of SMG1 I've played recently.
The first galaxy in World 2 where the saws make the floor fall away was omgwtf at first.

I'm almost done with Mario Galaxy now. Got 107 stars so just 13 left to get. All of these are on the last two worlds and some of the levels have been quite tricky. There is a new more evil version of Luigi's Purple Coins, which wasn't too bad having done that level to death already. I gave up on some ridiculous super-speed Thwomp level last night. Should be done by the weekend though.
Don't know what to play next. I've got Mad World, Little King Story and Endless Ocean 2 in the backlog, but I might play an Xbox game as Jaymz has overtaken my gamerscore while I was away playing SMG2. Damn his eyes.

Pffft. Up to 241
stars in SMG2 now. The last one is just frickin' impossible. I guess it's called the perfect run for a reason.

241? Off to gamefaqs....
Ugh green stars. Well it looks like I'm not nearly finished at all. Might have to come back to them after playing something else. SMG2 didn't give me the burning desire the play through it again like the first one did. Might try and get the first few though to see if they add any thing.

Managed to re-buy Super Smash Bros Brawl for £6.50 on Tesco Entertainment (first order you get money off) - I traded it in a while back and regretted it. Love playing through it all again. One of the most unique fighters of this generation. Also looking to complete Mad World in the next few weeks. I can only really do one level at a time, so I don't get bored with the same mechanics over and over.

Well the Green stars aren't quite like the Luigi play through of SMG1, as they're hidden throughout the levels, but you can hear them twinkling away when you're close. Some you can get in about 30 seconds or less as they're near the start.

Yeah I had a go at getting them and got all of world 1's in under an hour. They seemed quite fun so I might get the rest.
