I see DW Comic #16 has come out on time. Was that really eleven weeks ago I was getting wound up by that new schedule? where does the time go...

I had forgotten all about it. I must venture to the city outskirts to find a copy.

It covers the next three issues chronologically:
10 #2.13, 11 #2.13 and 12 #2.12
which now leaves 4x10, 2x11 and 3x12 left of Year 2 - hopefully fitting into the next three issues to finish it.

#18 has come out on time.
#17: 10D #2.14 / 11D #2.14 / 12D #13 #18: 10D #2.15 / 11D #2.15 / 12D #14
Next issue end of August.
Year Two issues remaining: 2x10th 11th is done 1x12th
However, rather than keeping things neat and tidy and using the next issue to finish Year 2, it says in the back that the Eleventh Doctor's Year 3 stories start next issue.
This annoys me intensely, simply because it means it'll take this comic most of the year to run the five part Tenth Doctor story that finishes Year 2. Part one in March, part five in November. And on this ridiculous 'when we feel like it' schedule - which seems to be 'we'll have a comic in the shops when the show is on telly' there's no chance they'll ever get to the end of Year 3.

It is mad that there is a 3-month gap until the next issue when the show is still on TV for another month! This may be my jumping-off point though as I was mostly keeping it going to read the end of 11th Doctor Year Two (which finished this issue) as the other stories haven't really being doing it for me in their 'Year Two' runs.

The tenth stuff certainly isn't as good as the first year. I think I'll get the next two issues to round out year two and then stop. I'm more interested now in the third doctor trade.

First volume of Titan's Fourth Doctor run procured from the library. Hooray! I have given up on seeing the other Doctor stories getting a UK newsstand release by this point.

Tales from the TARDIS #19 has come out on time. Err, yay?
#19 10D #2.16 / 11D #3.1 / 12D #15
Just the final Tenth Doctor Year Two issue to go, Eleven is on Year 3 now and Twelve will be on Year two next issue. Next issue end of November. This one is badged as 'Autumn 17' so I realise it's actually been quarterly since the May issue.
I see now this is how Titan work. Rather than giving a title a legitimate shot, like Panini, Titan just ride popularity waves and use and drop titles at will. Who is not as popular as it was a few years back, but rather than waste the licence they keep it ticking over in case there's more money to be made when the new series starts.
Similarly, the new Wonder Woman title was probably never expected to run more than three issues. The one shot must have sold well so an issue two followed, then a third to finish that story line (even though it didn't) then gone. The first issue didn't advertise a second, and the third finished with 'Read more WW in Justice League'. Makes me feel like I don't really know where I am with them - I'm unlikely to buy into a new title for fear it'll vanish after a month and I'd have been better of buying a trade. Next issue of Who will be my last to finish the Year two stories. I've no idea what happened in the last one as it is.

Titan have form for mucking readers about going back to when they published tie-in magazines. A while ago they did another Wonder Woman title I was reading which vanished after 3 issues.
I can see myself switching to trades after this issue of DWC. Increasingly hard to find and the frequency changes are killing story momemtum.

Absolutely. For Year 3, trades. Makes so much more sense. I just need that last part of the rather protracted Tenth Doctor arc. In three months...
Like you said, the WW special gave no indication it would be a series, then issue two popped up from nowhere and finished with issue three. All they did was reprint the story The Lies from issues 1,3,5,7,9,11 of the Rebirth reboot comic (did some research to find out what this was) purely to cash in on the popularly of the film with no intention of continuing. The big special was pretty poor really, it was a 75th Anniversary homage comic, so useless for new readers like me and just full of short stories that didn't make an awful lot of sense. None of it really gave me a feel for how the character is represented these days - the way Liam Sharp talked about her in his interview in the Meg this month made it sound more interesting than it was.

That is annoying, long ago I dropped Titan's reprints due to their scheduling or complete lack of.

Tales from the TARDIS #20 is out. Quarterly publication continues - next issue 22nd Feb.
#20 - 10D #2.17 / 11D #3.2 / 12D #3.1
So all Year Two stories are now complete aaaaand, I'm out. Four issues a year is untenable. I'll pick up trades if I remember.

It's been quarterly since the spring - May, August, Nov this year. Perhaps they're keeping it ticking over to keep the UK comic license in case things pick up with the new Doc.

Titan's publishing decisions for their newsstand titles often makes me shake my head. I'll get this issue to read the last Year 2 story then I'm out.

That completes a year of it being quarterly. I'm not buying it now. If I want to read those stories I'll get trades, but I can live without them. I'm more interested in the third and fourth Doc mini-series.

#22 is out! I was amazed to see copies in my local newagent as they have not stocked the title before. Coupled with a redesign I suspected it had been relaunched but, er, next issue due 23/8! It does conclude the current stories and by then perhaps the show is back on telly? Will it go back to monthly then?
Interestingly, while the title uses the new logo all branding now has it is stacked rather than on one line. Changes the feel of it entirely. Not sure how I feel about it.

It's still completely lost though, the logo. I saw that and laughed. It's so hard to pick it out among all the other text on the cover.
I think we had the publication schedule for this earlier didn't we? It's quarterly to the end of the year iirc. May change of course. They'd do well to put the 13th Doctor stories in it.
edit: might be thinking about 2017's schedule there. Time flies.

It would make sense for the title to go monthly and align with Titan US' publishing strategy and run with the 13th Doctor stories as they start when the show is back on telly. Or will it just stay quarterly with 10th/11th/12th Doc stories? We shall see.
With the quarterly schedule, I am amazed it is still going but perhaps DWA's extinction is helping it?
