Kind thoughts, please. Incredible levels of pain today. A flare-up usually passes in 2-3 days but still messes my head up.

Took day off sick work as I couldn't cope. Booked for a second opinion next week with a competant GP.

A good idea if it's a big thing and you don't have confidence in who you saw. I've had specialists like that....

Yeah, no harm in getting a second opinion if you have doubts about competency. Sending good thoughts your way.

What a difference a good GP makes. On Friday, a locum essentially told me I was going to drop dead in a call lasting 2 mins and 15 secs with no discussion.
Had a better chat with my usual GP for 21 mins today. It's preventative action being taken to get ahead of potential problems in the future. I now understand what is going on.
I've been in such a state. I genuinely thought I needed to update my will ASAP on Friday.

Glad to hear that your GP was able to assist. Shame on the locum for leaving you with such an unclear and misleading understanding of the situation though.

My regular GP was "not happy" about how the locum appointment last week had been conducted.

Was at the surgery this morning. They have hit the panic button as the meds are not working so recalled next week for more tests. Fun. -Ralph

Something was spotted but whether it is anything to worry about I have no idea. Surgery said they would call me tomorrow. They have given multiple times for this, so that's nice. Not like I will be at work and need to know when to be free. Oh wait. Yes I do.

My very minor operation in hospital this afternoon was carried out, but triggered a load very unexpected complications. It has not been fun and morphine got involved which was fun in its own manner.
I am home now taking some more pain killers before hopefully a long night of sleep. Suspect a good night of sleep and eating properly again will sort me out, but an absolutely horrendous time. Nobody's fault, just one of those things unfortunately.

Yes I do. -Ralph Turns out it is a thing that can be a problem if combined with something something but not for me as the other readings were ok. Then I got told to check out another problem, which was not as dire as I was warned and is just a normal ageing thing. Back at the GP in October to figure out what the heck is going on. What a fucking week. -Ralph

So my dad passed on Monday following 3 years of Alzheimer’s and 6 months of terminal cancer. I used to copy my TF fanzines at the place he used to work at in the 90s.
