Well done. For my part, I have booked 2 games of bowling for 7 people (plus or minus one, I said on the phone, and they didn't quibble) at 4.30 pm on Easter Saturday. Martin

I should be around for most of the Saturday festivities. Hopefully I'll come along for the stadium tour on Friday, I'll have to confirm closer to the date. For anyone considering Newport on the Sunday, the fair is a bit of a departure from the last couple of years, now billed as a Movie & TV Collectors Fair, rather than Star Wars. (Though the initial guest line up is skewed towards Star Wars.) Lookee here: www.fantasymania.co.uk/Newporteastermovietvcollector.html

Cool, but I am leaning towards visiting the Family of Blood on Sunday at St Fagans.

Looks like a decent enough event, but I suspect I too shall be remaining in the vicinity of Cardiff. A donder down to the park sounds like a good idea for the Sunday morning (dimly remember it from when I was a nipper, it would be nice to see it once more), and then if folk are thinking St Fagan's later on that would go down nicely.

Got an e-mail back saying we are confirmed for a tour at 3pm, and we are to report to gate 3 of the stadium about 10 mins beforehand to pay. I have booked only for 2 people, I'm not really sure what happens if more turn to be honest!

Oh, and my e-mail was signed by a 'Gareth Bale'. This joke will probably sail over most heads, but that would be very cool if he really was doing the tour.

So thats what Gareth Bale has been doing through his injury lay off, working at the Millennium stadium, I wonder what Juande thinks of that.

A welsh footballer it seems. Andrew's reply in this thread should have been a clue !

Teehee. Phil said doodoo.
I've no idea who Juande is either. I can still hear the reference whooshing on past my head.

Hey from japan, I think I'm going to pass after all, the plan for sat looks pretty busy and after spending most of the last 7 months travelling I was really only up for a very sedate day. hope to catch up with you all at AA.

Hi Richard. That's fair enough. I always feel like putting my feet up when I get back from a trip. Have a safe journey home - we look forward to hearing a Michael Palin-style account of your exploits!

Here's a recap of the plan for NEXT weekend (Friday 21st, Sat. 22nd March): Fri. 2pm - James O arrive - anyone else around on the Friday? Nigel? Fri. afternoon - maybe do a tour of the Stadium. Any other suggestions? Fri. 11pm-ish - Scots arrive (at my place? - can provide instructions for taxi), just in time for bed. Sat. 11am - meet Phil at Central station - anyone else? Catch bendy bus to Cardiff Bay. Between 11 and 4 - see inside Senedd and WMC (Doctor Who film locations), and Doctor Who exhibition. If weather good, get boat across to Barrage. Get food at some point (pub, pizza, etc.). Sat. 4pm - see Phil safely off (though no need for everyone to leave Bay). Sat. 4.30-6.30 - if people shout that they want me to try to book it, could do some bowling in Cardiff Bay. Sat. 7pm - see James O safely off. After 7pm - possibly go to my local pub for food/drink, and/or watch DVDs. Sunday morning (before midday) - church for those so inclined, freedom of the city for those who aren't. (Bute Park behind the castle was Central Park in Doctor Who - can point in right direction.) Sunday lunch/afternoon - if weather good, maybe get a taxi to St Fagans, otherwise pubs/museums in city centre, until Scots depart for home. This is how it looked. The bowling has now been booked. For people coming on Saturday, the message is to gather at the Cardiff Central back exit, i.e. the one with buses for Cardiff Bay, and not the main foyer (for the Millennium Stadium), between 10.30 and 11am. A futile appeal, if I am right, But I do urge you to travel light. It will be more pleasant walking on the Barrage If unencumbered by excessive luggage. And when you enter the Senedd (a Doctor Who scene), You must put your belongings through an x-ray machine. (You all know the real reason for my appeal in the week of Pilate Pontius, A table covered with toys makes me somewhat self-conscious.)

Awww. I was gonna bring J-Decker along for Nick.
I'll be substantially lighter by then anyway as I'll have shifted a number of Rom comics !
