How about a Cardiff meet up early next year ? You'd all be welcome here again... but next year would be 2008, would it not? Martin

I hope not, or I have lost a year of my life.
In any event, another trip to Cardiff AKA Doctor Who Land would be tops.

Well, don't wait for me to say "I'm having a meeting on such-and-such a date, who's coming?" I'm here nearly every weekend, and have hardly anything booked for next year at the mo, so it's for others to say when's most convenient for them to take a long weekend off and sort out travel, etc.
As always, I have one comfy spare double, a dodgy single camp bed and floor space and cushions for maybe three more. Plus plenty of hotels around. Priority tends to go to the Scots contingent as they travel furthest and in a group.
I now know how to walk to Cardiff Bay shaving a mile off the way we did it last time. (Did it today, actually - lovely sunny weather.)

If I could actually get to go in the comic shop and the who exhibition this time it would be nice !
We can probably put a couple up but it would be a trip (1hr by train) into Cardiff in the morning

I would definitely be interested in a trip down to sunny Cardiff next year - had a really great time the last two occassions I was down there so would definitely be interested in going back.
And like others I hope that 2008 is in fact next year. If it isn't then someone has been hacking my brain and removing parts of my memory (either that or I've been neglecting to back myself up to external memory on a regular enough basis).

Can I suggest an Easter meet-up then? -Ralph What, do you mean the actual Easter weekend (21-24 March)? Good Friday-Easter Monday? Travel might be hard on Bank Holidays, and some people may have family and church commitments, but if that's when most people are free, it might be doable. Martin

Martin I was refering to the Easter period in general - the period on either side of the bank holiday - using it as a landmark for the general time of year. Not sure how other folks meant it. The actual weekend is a definite possibility for me thought - as are the weekends on either side. You are right in observing that travel may be more difficult that weekend - not impossible though, just a little less choice of departure/arrival times. Karl

If it is Easter weekend, I could well have a Star Wars fair in Newport on one day, but expect I'll be free the rest of the weekend. (I won't have confirmation of the date for a while yet.)
Newport is the next major rail stop east of Cardiff, so it could be a potential destination for any attending Hub Star Wars fans. (Keeping in mind probable reduced rail services that weekend.) Guests would likely include Dave Prowse, Kenny Baker and Jeremy Bulloch.

Would we go to St Fagans again or is there another idea? If we just have the one full day, I'm guessing not, since there is some demand for the Doctor Who exhibition etc. at Cardiff Bay, which people who weren't staying over missed out on last time. People who haven't been there yet should see the Bay. It's riddled with Who/Torchwood locations, and we could even get a boat over to walk along the Barrage. But if there's two full days on account of a Bank Holiday either side, St Fagans could also be accommodated. Martin

Indeed. Stand in the right place and you can see a location in every direction.
