How can anyone be surprised by the price? MP's hit boutique toy prices a while ago. The range has been repositioned to aim at a certain class of fan. It is the Hot Top-esque TF line now. You're paying for the name. -Ralph Absolutely. You are paying for the name nowadays. Not the die cast or realistic detailing that's for sure.... (Edit: Of course I appreciate the amount of design, engineering and cleverness that goes in to these things!)

Gosh Willie looks good. I wish I'd got myself a Willie at the time. But Hound sadly doesn't make my strict MP cut. Superb looking Willie though.

As I said last year I think I'll hold off for the toy based version. Though that will probably be another £10-20 so likely wont bother. Also as theres still no sign of toy Sunstreaker I could be waiting a long time.
Having said that I opened up MP36+ today which is my first taste of the (somewhat) newer more advanced MPs and it is kind of crazy what they are doing.

Sunstreaker's an odd one. You'd have thought a toy version was coming because of Cordon's head, but they've just reissued the original one.

They do. Not sure how good he'll look with the older car robots, but there's no denying that's one neat robot mode.
May change tack and flog Willis to bring the price down a little on getting this one. But then I expect everyone will be doing that.

True, but I'm now thinking Willis cost me about sixty quid several years ago, so that money is done and gone. If I can sell that and get MP Hound down to a respectable price, it's a win.
I always assume a 3P figure will get sold on when Takara finally pull their finger out. Wasn't expecting it with this one, but I'm impressed with what this looks like. Mind you, it won't have the HEFT Willis has, and we all know how important that is.

Heft is the mightiest of all measurements. But, shifting them on is the right approach, unless the MP turns out to be a bit duff like say Shockwave

Shockwave is indeed duff.
Still need to get Quakeblast to compare to Quakewave.

What I do like from the official pictures is how Hound's arms and head make up the engine block in vehicle mode - that's a really nice effect. I'm still waiting for MP-47+, mind you. But it's nice to see they've put that effort in, all the same.

The BEST Hound is Siege Hound. So put your Willy back in, Pins. Put The Mouse back in The House.

So the figures that sit in Hound are huge compared to the older scale, are they the same as those with Prime v3 and Bee v2?
Dissapointing if not only do we have different styling but a whole new size class. It's odd because the robot is scaled appropriately, but the vehicle is too big. I'd rather the opposite.
