No, same as usual. Check the comparison pic with Gundog in the 3P thread. His Jeep mode is slightly smaller than Willis' one.

We could work out what's going on though. The Willys jeep is 3.36 metres long according to Wikipedia, and a Nissan Fairlady Z is 4.41 metres (Prowl being random older MP). So in car mode, Hound should be about 3/4 the length of Prowl. If that's right with the toys, there's something suspect going on with the Spikes.

Seat Chip from the MP Sunstreaker release in the driving seat. The steering wheel is a little big on him (although Jeeps/tractors etc. do have large steering wheels and chip isn't an adult)

"breaking" news... The side panels that also connect to the seat bottoms in place seem a bit weak where they connect to metal pin for rotation.
One of mine snapped off. No stress marks at all.
Will search how widespread a problem this is tomorrow. Maybe I'm just unlucky.
Other than that, this thing is weird. Some transformation steps don't have decent tolerance on where things need to be, but then again the foot transformation is very clever. And the plastic feels thin and bendy. Definitely not too impressed, but the breakage has probably quashed my positivity.
Edit: TFW2005 has several reports of breakages, although it'll always be those with issues that make themselves heard.
Kapow have flat out told me that they do not offer replacements on transformable figures breaking during transformation.
Very meh.

That's the puppy.
edit: EGADS! Upon photographing the break, I noticed the hinge on the front bumper is also cracked and there's a thin crack on a panel just below the knee.
UNACCEPTABLE!

Keeping an eye on the TFW2005 thread - now I know people are more likely to post if they have a breakage, but there are a lot of damage reports. When you compare it to something that was considered widespread like the MP Beast Wars Megatron crotch crack or Rodimus Prime's leg issues and scraping of the spoiler, it's very worrying.
Awaiting on hearing back from Kapow, I sent them the pics on Friday.
Oh - also the proportions of this guy in the flesh are ridiculous. Legs are way too long relative to the torso.

I reckon that's because of the exaggerated perspective on the character model. MP44 is the same.

At this point Im glad that the Masterpiece line has lost my interest. At least if and when they get a "plus" release that is more to my taste theres a chance the issues will have been addressed.

Kapow remain silent. Robotkingdom now put out on Facebook that when transforming to be very careful as there is a 'design fault'. Dunno if they're accepting returns based on this though.
Kapow's T&C's are worrying-
I'll follow up in the Kapow specific thread.

Interesting that they don't note other places of recurring breakages, such as under the front bumper or cracked shin.

QC on this is appalling! I’ve not heard of an MP with this many different issues so soon.
I do hope there’ll be a running fix on him. I would like to pick one up at some point, but not at this risk factor.

Well there's a surprise. Although I wonder if this is because they in return can't then claim compensation from Takara for shipping faulty goods in the first place..?

It's not so much the refusal to accept a return, it's the blanket statement. My email to them was conversational about the problem, wondering about how widespread they had found the problem. All I got back was a refusal and acknowledgement of fragility. Unfortunately this riled me somewhat and got me straight to looking up the exact terms of the consumer rights act 2015. I didn't want to resort to that and probably would have lived with the problem had I been engaged in a better manner. And now I'll likely cancel my pre-order for MP-48, which I'll happily forfeit my deposit for based on this mess. Well there's a surprise. Although I wonder if this is because they in return can't then claim compensation from Takara for shipping faulty goods in the first place..? Likely so, but that is clearly a business decision that they have to make in stocking products from them, not for the consumer to carry the burden of.

Yeah, that is shitty. Their attitude in these things can vary (depending on who's manning the email account that day), and this is certainly on the not-best end. Replying with a stock comment is indeed shitty.

Sounds like the manufacturer (and some stores) are knowingly selling a faulty product. Buyers beware.

Jeepers. What the hell's going on out there?!?!
These are s'posed to be 'Masterpiece' are they not?!
And I still can't get over that blanket 'No Returns' policy. That must be against consumer rights.

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 is pretty clear that goods need to meet the expectations of a reasonable person. Now I know from the retailers POV they need to protect themselves against consumers who mistreated the figure and where that expectation should be less as the manufacturer is perhaps an unproven third party.
Unfortunately I would guess that what a reasonable person is comes down to opinion. But given that this is a first party product, I'd say expectations should be slightly higher than joints breaking on first transformation.
The consumer rights act also says that such things can not be written out by a store's specific T&Cs.
