I will spend the next year stockpiling Sparkler Minibots for Toy Fu and then make them the biggest best comic stars, thus increasing their value tenfold. Excellent. So that's Blueshift sorted for the next year or so. I've always wondered if it were possible to choose one Transformer and just buy all existing examples. It's probably possible with one of the less-popular Botcon ones as we have an idea of numbers.

What, you mean every figure produced for one specific figure?! Like every G1 Fizzle ever produced?

I have a terrible urge to make this happen but what would the endgame be?

I have a terrible urge to make this happen but what would the endgame be? -Ralph I dunno, because once you sell them then it crashes the market again. Maybe we just destroy them all, ridding the world of a particular figure. There was a guy who tried this with Ram Man but I feel his mistake was picking too common a figure www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-16207626

I recall the guy who was doing that with 3 3/4 inch Admiral Ackbars.

I remember seeing a guy give a presentation at the first Roll Out Roll Call I went to who had a ridiculously large collection of Akbars. I think it was a spoof comedy thing but it may have been genuine. It was videoed:

Andrew is looking at doing prints of the cover seeing IDW aren't printing it now

Indeed. I had been assuming that this series was dead as soon as it was announced that James wasn't going to be working on Transformers for them any more. I never really felt that IDW had a great deal of interest in the UK Classics stuff. The real enthusiasm behind them had always seemed to be James - not that I felt that IDW actively disliked doing it, just that it was more of case of "ok, fair enough, we can do that" than something that they would have been doing if someone hadn't been pushing it along. Without James shoving it along I'm not really surprised it has ground to a stop. A shame really - it wasn't far from giving me everything I need to have all the Marvel stories in print is some form or another. Ah well. Other measures will be taken in due course to fill the remaining gap. Karl

I agree it's a shame, but at the same time I was never in love with the undersized printing (even undersized compared to the page size, which wow)

Yeah, I gave up on the series after volume 1 due to the poor way the strips were presented. My volume went to Oxfam. A shame as the features were very good.

It was all about the features really. The representation of the comics wasn't good, but the background stuff made it worth the cash.

Get Mr Roberts to go old school - if he wasn't paid by IDW for his work on Vol 6, print his commentary material as a TFN Zine exclusive. That would be flippin' aces.

that would be great if IDW hav not taken ownership of the work - but they haven't paid for the work to be done.

I think the season things are looking dodgy on the reboot is simply that we're used to IDW/Hasbro fucking things up and someone letting something slip they shouldn't so we're aware of what's coming before it was planned in the most badly phrased way possible. There being no news yet is just a sign something's being done right for once.
And I don't think IDW would end their licence with a Gobots comic somehow.
It is odd they're not relaunching in January (especially if the stories about it being Seige based is true, if they're being required to promote the toys more you'd think they'd get it closer to the launch of the toys), and it looks like it'll be at least April before we get anything. But I suspect some proper news once Optimus Prime 25 has done the victory lap for the old continuity.
On the other hand of course, something could have fucked up behind the scenes and This Is It, but I'd say that's the least likely option.

Bugger. I was looking forward to Mr Roberts' commentary and extras. I hope that still gets released somehow.
