Alright - gave Winged Dragon a transform to beast mode. Firstly... That's a pain. Hinges are so stiff due to paint application it's ridiculous. This also makes tabbing some things in place (back of the neck) very tough. Hardest part was probably rotating out the spine, legs, arms, tail, back flap, hip flaps all get in the way. There's a major die cast joint at the hip where you can fold away his hips at 90deg, but the only reason to do this seems to be to rotate 2 hip panels.
I'm sure this could have been simpler. Some minor paint wear on various edges, certainly not as bad as some of the reports. Now he's done though... By golly. I thought he was big in bot mode, but this is ridic. My 3 MP seekers next to him are dwarfed. Just glorious.

Well previously they were always 2-3x the price d
of the official figures and I've always been wary of the designers lack of experience. This shows a little in this figure as there are some odd design choices (square metal pegs being pushed into chromed plastic). I'll be getting Tiger Hawk for sure, but still not convinced by 3rd party as a wbole. Plus I'm not 100% comfortable with IP infringement, but obviously I'm happy to leave my morals at the door if it's a case where I don't think TT/Hasbro will produce the figure.

Really excited for the reissue of Road King and to see the Special Teams grow. They could well be the pinnacle of MP collecting for me. I need more Aerialbots too. FT have been pretty solid with their release schedule this year, so here's hoping we get Goose as intended this month.

I've got an order in for Goose. Since TFE explained about how their order process works, I've been a bit better about at least getting deposits down on anything necessary.

Finally picked up Iron Factory's Alkaid (Helex). He's a very solid little figure, and also not that little. Which works in his favour - although I really like the IF molds, they joints are often all very, very tight, which, whilst nice, can also be worrying on smaller figures - this one being a little larger means that those tolerances are more bearable. The only disappointment is that his transformation is, essentially, just him lying down and making a terrible alt-mode. His main real purpose seems to be existing to be key parts of the larger combiner, so we'll see when they finally release their Tesarus...

Three series 2 Narlies in the post today. Paid *cough* £111 and only wanted one of them, but a few others I know have expressed interest in the others so hopefully can split the cost!

Mechanic Studio Gears arrived from China today. The one I think Shockers was excited by. I really hope this off-shoot from the Mech Fans Toys Legends line keeps going. This and the Huffer they did are perfecto CHUG figures. Provided you're happy with a toon look. I'd be really keen to see how they would do Cliffjumper in this style.
