Woke early, so was on the 7:11 from Swindon, 7:48 from Didcot, 8:13 from Oxford and in Brum at about 9:15 to claim first prize! We assembled over the next hour. I gave Burns his gifts and we & Andy K gave Andu his special gift. We then left to get the bus for the con. There thence was a disagreement over which bus and bus stop we should use and those who listened to me won the argument by getting there first and waving at Andu's group as they arrived. The con was heaving and rubbish. I lasted about half an hour before retreating to New St, meeting The Kaptain and making an advanced start on the pub. At about 2:30 I was tiring, and had realised we'd effectively left Shockprowl in charge here, so said I'd leave at 3:30 to get the train and spent the enxt hour repacking robots. On train at 16:12, in at Cheltenham Spa at 16:50, on the 17:00 back to Swindon and it was an HST. At which point this happened www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-39757840My train pulled into Kemble on schedule, ish at 17:50. It left at 20:05. It then spent 15 mins tantalising waiting at a red in sight of Swindon waiting for a clear platform. Got off train at about 20:35

Burns can probably tell the story better than me but... A little while ago he had the idea of commemorating Andu's BiG2016 performance in T Shirt form so Andy K was contacted to do some drawings and somehow I got copied in. The thought was something involving a headless Ratchet, a pair of jeans that gave their life in the line of duty and a pool of pink goo. We bounced some ideas around for a bit ...... And were still not quite there earlier this week when we had the bright idea of putting Ratchet in jeans. Printing was arranged and this morning Andu was presented with a special T-Shirt with this quite frankly AMAZING image on it: Here is Andu looking absolutely thrilled with his gift; Well done to Ralph for the idea and Andy K for the brilliant piece of art!

Fantastic day! The comic con mau not have been what everyone seemed to be expecting, but I did pick up the Jazz variant cover of TF vs GI Joe the movie and the latest issue of Zarjaz, something I've always meant to have a look at but never have. Best thing was meeting more hubbers and seeing those I met at TFN again, that and Blue's brilliant quiz. Which I'd have given the winners a run for their money with had I not forgotten to answer the question about penisbots while drawing my hamsters. Men discuss toys while Bisk tries to escape: Andy & Ralph play THE GAME OF RASSILON.

Good to finally meet you!

Fun fact, the #BIG2017 hashtag is also being used this very weekend by the British and Irish Gastroenterology conference.
So the hashtag is full of posts about bowels and also the conference, ZING
(but no, seriously!!)

I was trying to remember them. The only one I could think of was Planet X Sludge and I knew that wouldn't count.
Still, even in second place I am very pleased with my Kreo Predaking. And the unexpected Zygon, which was genuinely on my wants list as a paint variant I didn't have.
With prizes like that it's possible to overlook the multiple True Friending that took place before. Blake's 7 colouring books...
That said, the Game of Rassilon was very cleverly devised. The torment on Andy's face was hysterical. I can't believe how much time you all spend trying to wind each other up.

You made it home OK then? How much had Mrs P spent in the garden centre? Good to finally meet you! Absolutely. Can't believe that almost took four years. Yes, Nick helped me refind the car park and the sat nav eventually got me back onto the M40. Mrs P now has her eyes on a garden swing seat, but as it costs twice a Chaos on Velocitron set it'll have to join the purchasing queue...

I almost forgot yesterday's STUNNING REVELATION. Which might have been one of many come to think of it, but:
BLUESHIFT HAS NOT READ MAN OF IRON.
He has been equipped with a copy of Collected Comics #3 from Andy's bag of cast off issues and instructed to read it and then review it on here. This promise will not be forgotten.

I don't think Titan ever reprinted it did they? Either in the US or UK one. My interest in the UK comic is really uh, issue 40ish+, I never really got on with the super early toy design art era.
I do have vague memories of Jazz and a castle, so I probably did read part of it but it's slipped from my memory!

I don't think so... It was reprinted in US Issues #33 and #34. The one where they seemed to think the Man of Iron was built out of Megatron bits and did Tommy Cooper impressions for adoring knights.
