And, having had to search out this thread in Matt's recent posts, I've just read the title properly for the first time!
I may stop laughing sometime soon.....

The Sonic the Hedgehog song ('Supersonic') was a classic. The band was, hilariously, called HWA.
Let us not forget that other classic of the genre, the Lemmings song:

I bought Turrican for the gameboy! Which... well it's completely unplayable because they shoved Turrican onto a Gameboy cart but hey, Turrican!!!

Here is the gameplay. Imagine this on the tiny Gameboy screen. Crazy! Turrican II was also on the gameboy but released as Universal Soldier!

There was a very dodgy b-side called 'Playing with the Boy' which of course referred to Gameboy but does not sound right. Buggered if I can find it online. Are you sure it wasn't called 'play the game boy'?

I am sure it was 'Playing with the Boy' but I am not able to find it online to check. Well my first search yielded this masterpiece... But then fortunately, YouTube provided the Dr. Spin track we were actually looking for...

Not the one I am thinking off. That had a female vocalist singing "Playing with the Boy."
Though I did own the above track.

Have we had anymore backlight Gameboy inventions? But along the same line, it's odd you should say that. Here's the bits and pieces I've collected so far: The plan is to ram them all into a Gameboy shell to make a mini emulaor

Screen is working! The screen is from that box up top, it's a screen for wiring into your car, but I've stripped it out and added some wires to the board to adapt it to 5v. Got the controls working too Next is power and sound, which I've been putting off as I'm REALLY not sure what I'm doing with those two! Then there's the SD card adapter which should be easy but fiddly Then after that I need to somehow ram it all in to a Gameboy shell. There is not much room so I have no idea how I'll do this!

Power nearly wired up! (have a custom pcb in the post from the US!) NO IDEA if it works yet though, need to wait for the board to find out. The power's the bit which terrifies me most.
