Ha! That'd be a cracking film. See! A Skywalker fall over and get back up again!

I haven't seen Rise/Fall of Skywalker (I can't remember what it's supposed to be called). It's for the best. -Ralph

Doesn't tell me where I can watch SeaQuest. The SeaQuest Quest has begun. I've never watched Labyrinth. I went to see it at the cinema and found the creatures to be utterly terrifying, to a point where I had to leave the cinema. Strangely, I managed to sit through the Dark Crystal (which has more terrifying puppetry) without a problem.

I've never watched Labyrinth. WHAT. It is literally the best film of all time, bar none. Martin

Is it? What, even better than Top Gun 2? Or The Suicide Squad?

Is it? What, even better than Top Gun 2? Or The Suicide Squad? Heavens, yes, they may be the best film of the year in which they were released, but they aren't fit to be spoken of in the same breath as the awesome Labyrinth. Martin

Strangely, I managed to sit through the Dark Crystal (which has more terrifying puppetry) without a problem. Interesting. Never found either terrifying to be honest. On the other hand the Wheelers in Return to Oz just absolutely weirded me out - even by the standards of Oz they just seemed outright unsettling. Which is saying something when one considers how messed up some of the stuff about Oz is (I mean, the Deadly Desert turns you to sand...Literally just dissolves your entire body wholesale. That is messed up). By contrast most of the creatures of the Labyrinth I found basically endearing at the very least. But everyone's mileage is different. (Didn't find anything in Dark Crystal particularly frightening - the unfortunately fated TV show on the other hand did have a couple of things that were pretty close to outright Nope! for me.) Karl

Dark Crystal I found a bit too intense and dark as a kid, and I had similar feelings about Neverending Story.
Return to Oz has some really creepy elements, but I watched it many times anyway - I think it's more intensity that gets to me.
I think the only part of Labyrinth which really creeps me out is not puppet related, it's the contaminated peach!

I haven't got all the way through Highlander so technically I haven't seen it either. I gave up because... It was shit. I'm having another go at this because it's on iPlayer and Mrs P says I ought to watch it and there'll be none of this 'it's crap' business until I've seen it all. I have to say in my old age I look much more fondly on anything from the heyday of 80s action films. Not sure what Sean Connery thinks he's wearing though.

I think 2024 will have to be the year of getting film franchises sorted out for me. I did Rocky this year, next year I need to finish Rambo, rewatch Predator and Terminator to add in the few I've not seen and do all of Mission Impossible. Also the Brosnan Bond films because they're the only ones I've not watched in the last few years.

It... does have a 'dated' feel to it at times. Kinda clumsy in a way. BUT IT'S PURE MOVIE GOLD! (I highly recommend the TV series. Has Mrs zp seen that? If she hasn't, watch it. Watch it quickly. It's (generally) very good.)

Oh yes, don't watch any more if the movies! Dear gods no!
But the TV series is a completely different kettle of immortals. Adrian Paul is great in the lead role, it really explores what life would be like for such a being, and the fight scenes are great!

I did Rocky this year, next year I need to finish Rambo Hope you like a high fatality count, those modern ones are pretty gratuitous. rewatch Predator and Terminator to add in the few I've not seen and do all of Mission Impossible. Really like Predators and Prey. The Predator had a lot of promise with Shane Black being involved, but fell pretty flat. Might give it a rewatch though as not seen it since the cinema. Also the Brosnan Bond films because they're the only ones I've not watched in the last few years. Trying to think if I actively skipped Die Another Day on my big rewatch a few year's back. Does anyone like this film?

Trying to think if I actively skipped Die Another Day on my big rewatch a few year's back. Does anyone like this film? Me. When Bond walks into the Hong Kong hotel soaking wet in his pyjamas, with several months' growth of facial hair, and asks for his usual suite, it's one of my favourite moments in the entire franchise. And so sue me, I like the invisible car too. Martin

I've got the first three on DVD. I either need to find a good blu-ray set, or just watch the lot on Disney. I'm quite looking forward to Prey, that sounded good. I like all the Brosnans. I reckon he could be my favourite film Bond. Kinda half way between Roger Moore and Daniel Craig.

I do fear that. But it won't stop a proper rewatch. I love these old faves, I need to bring them into the HD era. My local CEX had the first four Predators in a BR boxed set for £15 the other day. I'm enjoying upgrading DVDs to BRs that way.
I got the first ten series of Last of the Summer Wine in one mint DVD set for a tenner. I'm loving watching the early ones of those I never saw.
