This video shows Predaking's final fate - perhaps the most gruesome scene in TF cartoons - not for the faint-hearted!!!

Sky Lynx is the only one of the three who hasn't been killed on screen. He is better.

One Day To Go!
I thought Predaking would probably win, but this is a lot closer than I expected!

One Day To Go! I thought Predaking would probably win, but this is a lot closer than I expected! My head says Predaking (because he turns into five separate toys) but my heart says Sky Lynx, because he's different. My vote was originally with Predaking until someone used the word "whooshability", which swayed me to the space shuttle. Martin

I've finally had to go with Sky Lynx, I'm afraid. He is, indeed, just more different and more interesting as a result.

Yes, and concluded that it was best looked at from a distance. I admitted I'm not voting with my head. Martin

Week 38: What is the best Throttlebot on the 1987 UK catalogue?New catalogue time! We're back in the UK and in 1987. My thanks to Matt Dallas for the scans - any chance of similarly large ones of 1988? And onto this week's Transformers and it's the Throttlebots:

Doc' will love this one! But how will he possibly choose one over the others...?
Personally, I... I can tell Goldbug, Rollbar and Wideload apart, but the others... no so much.
Hehe heh heh, 'Wideload'.

Things in the Throttlebots' favour:
1. Well-designed, individual heads that you can shine light through.
2. Fun pull-back-and-go action
3. Er... rubber tyres.
4. Interesting tech-specs.
But other than that, they look awful, especially standing next to Mini Autobots in robot mode.

The heads were clearly designed by a different department from the bodies. Either that, or they ran out of time.

Of the Throttlebots EXCLUDING GOLDBUG:
Wideload is the strongest (9), the others are in the range 3-5.
Wideload has intelligence 4, the others 6 or 7.
Wideload has speed 2, the others are in the range 4-6.
Wideload has endurance 9, Searchlight 8, Chase 3.
Chase and Wideload have rank 5, the others 6.
Rollbar has courage 10, Chase 9, Searchlight 4.
Freeway has firepower 3, the others 1 or 2.
Wideload has skill 5, the others 8 or 9.
Goldbug's tech-specs are silly - strength 9, intelligence 8, speed 4, endurance 8, rank 8, firepower 1, skill 7.
