Of the regular retail Japanese Micron Teams Street Action, Space, Sea & Emergency don't appear in Multipacks.
Of the regular release Japanese Supercons Sideways, STD Convoy & Sideswipe don't appear in the Multipacks.
Since there's four Micron teams and 3 Supercons it's impossible to produce a 1 to 1 mapping to work out potential remaining Multipacks.
There is an existing link between the Street Action Team and Convoy - X-Dimension repaints of the Street Action Team appear with the Japanese version of the Final Battle Superbase toy in the Magna Convoy boxset.
The other three teams each pair thematically nicely with a larger toy: Space with Jetfire, Sea with Tidalwave and Emergency with Red Alert

Based on my usual criteria for doing these things I'd pick the one that's most likely to catch my eye, and not based on any actual experience with the toys. Unfortunately in this case that'd leave me with Hotshot. But I'll add that if I picked that up in the shop I'd look on the back and see that the robot mode looks like arse. So I'll pick the other car and plane combo instead, and go with Rampage.

This is a one week stop over in the world of Botcon: this was the year they came in window boxes and the plastic windows was like cellophane!
Four really nice toys, just a shame X-Brawn didn't get an airing here. Obviously Sideswipe get my vote, cos Red Lambo, but I think I like the two Sideburns more than Sunstreaker: both of the Sideburn sisters are very nice and are, I believe, the same plastic with different spray ops.
Oddly the next time we're slated to deal with Botcon is currently scheduled for exactly a year in the future!

It is a regret of mine to have passed on buying these 15-odd years ago when I had a chance. I thought they seemed pricey, but proportionately it was nothing compared to now.
My vote goes to Roulette.

hard choice, because these all are amazing toys with serious flaws (imo, obv). i hate hate hate carbots who have a shield made of car. i think its a cop out that doesn't look good. but these are also great toys that are fun to play with, the car modes look lovely, the robots look great if you hide the accessories-made-of-car. the lambos are possibly better toys, but the new character ladies are more interesting. lets go with shadow striker....

ROULETTE. A unique character/deco.
We are drowning in Sideswipes so the one here does not stand out at all.

Indeed. And whilst there's a reason that the red Lamborghini look is a classic one, I've never been fan of that robot mode. So for me it has to be Shadow Striker, as she has the best combination of colours and looks.

Point of order. There was no Botcon 2003. It was the Official Transformers Brand Collectors Convention that year.

So, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker are literally the least interesting thing that could have been done with the toy. Using a new Lamborghini Transformer to retread the two 1984 Lamborghini Transformers simply because they turn into related vehicles...Very dull.
That leaves the two Speedbreaker redecoes. Both of these have the advantage of being new characters at the time, and both have quite nice colour schemes. But for me I have to say that I think Roulette has the edge here. The name is interesting, conjouring up the impression of a character who is a bit of a daredevil, a risk-taker who likes to run the edge of their luck. The silver paint scheme is also very attractive, and has the feel of older Aston Martins or silver-doped Mustangs.
So yeah, Roulette's number is up for me.

Keychain versions of Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Brawn and Windcharger were released by Fun4All under license from Hasbro in the US in 2001. These were sold carded in western countries including, I believe, the UK. Bumblebee tfwiki.net/wiki/Bumblebee_(G1)/toys#KeychainBrawn tfwiki.net/wiki/Brawn_(G1)/toys#KeychainCliffjumper tfwiki.net/wiki/Cliffjumper_(G1)/toys#KeychainWindcharger tfwiki.net/wiki/Windcharger_(G1)#KeychainThese didn't go in the main poll because, imo, they're reissues of the original minibots but we did take a look at them in the Extra poll tmukhub.proboards.com/post/515851/thread All four keychains were re-released in 2007 under the Heroes of Cybertron banner by Basic Fun (Fun4All having gone bankrupt in 2004) In 2003, Takara released all four of the keychain Minibots (Cliffjumper, Bumblebee, Windcharger, and Brawn) as Blind Boxed 7-Eleven exclusives with black chase variants.

ILLEGAL POLL!
These are not Spychangers or Minicons! It shouldn't be allowed! *rocks back and forward hugging his knees*

You won't be seeing Minicons or Spychangers for a while.
But you will be seeing plenty of old friends as we turn our attention to the pre Transformers Collection reissues.
We take the position here that we do not, in general, poll straight reissues in these polls. Fortunately there's a good supply of mad repaints at this time and, as we'll see in next week's rather special poll, some toys that have been sold in different ways to the original versions. And the second half of this section provides an interesting thematic bridge between Armada and Energon.
And what better place to start than some new repaints of Minibots?

But for those worrying....
Minicons are currently scheduled to return 4th April 2025, but you'll need to wait till 13th February 26th before we next see a Spychanger

"These didn't go in the main poll because, imo, they're reissues of the original minibots but we did take a look at them in the Extra poll" ILLEGAL!!! Source: tfwiki.net/wiki/Windcharger_(G1)#Keychain"Though based on the original toy, this is an entirely new set of molds, with a number of small differences throughout (minor proportion differences and generally softer edges), but the most immediately obvious one is the small plastic ring added to the front bumper, which the metal key chain attaches" "Based on", not reissues.
