It's a cracking story and worth reading.
Yes, Thor 2 was a waste of so many talented actors.

I haven't read the comic, but I like to imagine how much fun it would have been if Eccleston had played him like he played the doctor. The colour palette would still leave something to be desired, but it would have been infinitely more entertaining. The comic run it's based on is the same storyline mostly adapted for Thor Ragnarok. It's amazing how they take the same storyline and make one amazing film and one terrible one!

Well, the upcoming Loki series starting Hiddleston is said to be about Loki inadvertently effecting human history at various points in the past. So if they play Loki the way he was written in Ragnarok, this will very much end up being MCU Who.

Shield and Winter soldier viewed in timeline order. The show does a great job of wrapping itself around the film to the point I do find myself thinkings its a two way street even though it clearly isnt.
I kind of miss that world building. Also its oddly impressive that a show with such a clear premise only ran with it for 16 episodes before Winter Soldier blew it all up. That its gone from strength to strength is just straight up impressive.
Really want Season 6 to start.

After the utter brilliance of season 5, I too am really looking forward to season 6. Though I do believe they're intentionally skipping a year to avoid the Avengers IW/Endgame nonsense.
How many times have they saved the world with zero credit, now? They deserve to sit one out for once.

I might enjoy SHIELD more if I watched it the way I watch 'Game of Thrones' and 'Supergirl' (and the way I watched 'Agent Carter' and 'Fargo'), i.e. binge-watching each season on DVD over the course of a week or so. But I've watched SHIELD in weekly instalments on TV, and it just drags for me. Like they seemed trapped in the future for months and months - even though it was probably only a few days for them. And in that virtual reality world. A short story just takes too long for me when I have to keep waiting a week between each chapter.
Strangely, the gaps between films don't bother me.

I imagine because the films are self contained stories. You may be waiting to see what happened to Black Panther next time, but you're not waiting to see if he survived the villain, or get out of trouble.
(I realize the irony of that example right now, lol)
Also, there are parts of AoS that drags for me, too. Arrow is the draggiest DC show to me, but I discovered it moves way faster, too, binging it.

Well you've missed the only two episodes worth watching, and they were pretty poor, so I wouldn't bother with the rest.

The strength of Inhumans was entirely in the actors. Not the plot, not the effects.
But I think if they had shifted their target audience towards tweens instead of young adult like all marvel studios stuff, it might have better found it's feet. A quasi-alien royal family navigating and learning about human culture, while being superheroes seems perfect for the kid market.

Its as if they were making it up and filming it on the spot. When they start they have this seemingly unlimited budget, but after about 20 minutes they realise they've already spent most of it and still have several hours of story to film. At which point they say "screw it!" and book a holiday to Hawaii. Gah! Have to add it to my watch list.

Martin Im finding that with season 2. I remembered the Daisy/inhuman stuff in the second half really bogging it down watching weekly, but binged it all works much better. I don't know if Ive rewatched season 2 before, so it might be the first time Im watching it since seeing Ultron. If so its the first time I'm realising just how many little ties to Ultron it had.

Also Ward is a nut job, I think I was so concerned that they planned to redeem him that I found certain thing annoying so I didn't fully appriciate the performance.

Season 3 (and late season 2) Hunter just might be challengiing Luis and Darcy as my favourite (at least non superpowered) MCU character. I know it was for planned spin off reasons but I can't believe he and Bobbi were dumped. Its frustrating that of the 5 later recruits (thowing Tripp i nthere too) we are left with the two least interesting in Mack and Yoyo.

Whats really funny about Shield is how its stories keep cutting shield back to just the core cast then finding ways to restock redshirts for the next story. Mike Peterson just randomly showed up with a bunch of agents he'd been keeping safe for half a season.
I am enjoying the reoccuring agents Piper and Davis. It helps things having some semi developed supporting characters around the place.

There has to be an interesting behind the scenes story about what happened with Shield about this time last year.
Season 5 ends with an episode called The End. And it is a proper last episode. They didn't know if they'd be back for season 6 when it was made. Having been dragged over the syndication line during season 5 everyone thought that would be it. And yet here we are a year later not only is season 6 incoming, they have already renewed it for season 7 and started filming.
I'd love to know what changed.

MCU conquers television. This afternoon, on BBC1 from 5:45 to 7:35, Ant-Man, while on ITV1, from 6:25 to 9:10, Captain America: Civil War.

GOTG vol1. Still great. Making me annoyed we wont get vol3 next year. Grrrrr! If not for the stupid sacking Vol3 would be sat waiting for release right now. Instead we'll be lucky if it starts filming next year, which is essentially when Vol 4 probably would have been shot. So we're officially a full film short now.
