It scared the living shits out of young Ralph back in the day! -Ralph I have no memory of it from childhood, thankfully. I must have missed a few episodes. I just vaguely remember Peri being in it, then not being in it. Peri... beautiful Peri... What actual fuck am I watching....

The Liberator was the best space ship ever designed. I cried when it and Zen were destroyed.

I like that one more than some of the post 2005 arrangements we've had! You've got a good point there. (Although this is the worst I've heard. Of anything. It is literally the worst thing I've ever heard.)

Hey The Doctor's doing my joke! Prefixing 'yard' with stuff! He just called him Scrapyard!
It's... Not bad so far. Colin's performance/characterisation is indeed better.
Valeyard is everything I hoped he would be. And more.

One question: WHAT THE HELL HAVE THEY DONE YO THE MUSIC?!?!?! WHAT IS THIS INSIPID WISHY-WASHY INSUBSTANTIAL DRIBBLE?!?! IT'S HORRIBLE!!!!!! Correct Opinion It's like someone vomited on a synthesiser and said, "Yeah, that'll do". Absolutely horrific. Who ever arranged it should be... well, put on trial by the Valeyard.

Ok, chaos, here we go-
TRIAL OF A TIME LORD.
You guys bang about this all the time, so let's see what it's all about.
Very vague memories of it, but nothing firm.
AHH. The Valeyard! Yes he is rather good, right from the word go.
Hey! Gravy lady!

Exactly. Of the triples, I had Astrotrain and Sandstorm (metal feet) as a kid and I loved them both. Sandstorm particularly because he felt a bit of an outsider not really featuring in the comics. Terrific chopper. Sandstorm is by far the most successful of the 'second wave' Triples, cut from the same cloth as Astrotrain and Blitzwing, i.e., two distinct and usable vehicles modes. Springer's alt modes are boring and indistinguishable, and Broadside is... a massive aircraft carrier, which is just too bonkers. Octane is meh. Sandstorm though- two great fun actiony alt modes and he looks great and transforms interestingly. I'm really surprised and pleased they've given him his proper G1 toy face as well! Unprecedented! He's going to look great stood next to the G1 toy Pinwig gifted me years ago.

And Anthony Ainley, he was in Upstairs Downstairs too. NO WAY! I remember mother watching that religiously.

And the husband from Keeping up Appearances! (Mrs Shocks spotted him, before she fell asleep.) Did Mrs Shocks spot Daniel Hill and Clunesy boy previously? I'm not sure who Daniel Hill is...? And by 'Clunesy boy' do you mean Martin Clunes? Because yes, she did spot him.

Me neither.
Sandstorm wasn't on The List, but this toy looks like an amazing representation of a childhood/young-adulthood favourite!

The brilliant Paul Darrow and the excellent character of Herbert were the only interesting things for me in Timelash. Again I find Sixth's bombastic portrayal exhausting.

Not sure how I feel about the Two Doctors.
Patrick Troughton is compelling and I'm really looking forward to watching him more when I go back.
But the story and guest characters I found, I dunno, not-interesting. Weird in a non-good way, like the freak who wanted to eat everyone.
There was just a lot of wondering around, hiding, and being caught.
Not even Blake's 7 lady interested me.
I enjoyed Second and Sixth together, but they didn't seem to be together very much at all! I remember it being much better when I was a kid (but remember nothing about the story).
So, meh. Neutral at best, disappointed at worst.
I'm still struggling with Sixth. Sorry, Colin.

I'm genuinely impressed. It took me the best part of three years to marathon the classic series. All you need is a wife who falls asleep after X-Files.

Yeah, Shockprowl. After you finish 4-8, go back and do 1-3. -Ralph Yes that has always been my plan: saving Third for last, as he was my Great Blueshift gifted revelation.

Yeah. Yeah I know the shot you mean. And I make no apology for knowing the shot he means. I prefer her in a bikini. Planet of Fire did have quite an effect on young Pinwig. As did meeting Nicola Bryant at a convention back in the day. Her hard work in this series is the only thing that's holding it together for me. Her consistency is giving the stories a much needed anchor, even the writers are giving her very little to do.

I'm currently watching: Hoop, X Files, and chess/history/space/geography/evolution videos on Youtubes.
You know, I'm very happy they put Old Hoop on iThingy. That was a Good Thing.
