I am looking forward to this, got tickets for all three days plus club con, staying in the hilton on friday and saturday and driving home on sunday because i couldn't justify a third night even at their special rates. never been there or tfnation before so anxiety levels are ratchetting up :rolleyes: i'll be the long-haired speccy fellow in a mask!

I find that among 'us' generally, anxiety about events like this is very common. It can put you off wanting to go and can be a huge hurdle to overcome, but I keep telling myself it's always worth the push to do it.

For anyone else coming DO NOT PAY ON ARRIVAL your hotel bill to avoid the secret double charge "for security reasons".
If you pay on arrival and check if you have paid everything you are told yes. Then you check your account and see you have been charged twice so you go back to reception. They THEN say this is a new policy for "security reasons" due to a "new policy" and the second charge is released when you check out. Asked for money back. Which will take days as it is a standard refund. Never come across this kind of nonsense before.
Caused massive amounts of stress. I was all for leaving straight away until I was talked down.
A complaint will be submitted after I leave. Can't handle dealing with the front desk again.

Hats off to Matt for a very entertaining talk about his journey though customising and creating Transformers. Large audience absolutely gripped and more questions afterwards than there was time to answer. He did brilliantly, and Andy was a perfect model for showing off the goggles and masks.
