I bought both the souvenir cups.
The end of end credit extra scene is worth waiting for on this occasion.

Deadpool and Wolverine: I don't like the Deadpool character so passed previous films but I like Hugh Jackman so gave it a whirl.
I very much enjoyed seeing Huge Action as The Wolverine again. It's like he's never been away.
I liked the Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler. Avoiding Spoilers is the best way to go in. Otherwise there would have been little to hold my interest
Otherwise it was exceptionally dull and boring. I did not laugh once or even be amused. Story is shiiiiiite.
But it was nice seeing Jackman Logan again. It was watchable.
'Thor: The Dark World' still retains the MCU wooden spoon.

Twisters: watchable remake of Twister (ignore the publicity saying it is a 'legacy' sequel). Fine while on but lacks the excitement or fun of the original. Somehow, the effects are less impressive than what 1996 could do.
OK on a big screen as effectively a freebie using the Cineworld pass though I suspect I will forget it in a week.

No. Ours has survived the cut this time though I do worry about it as it has rarely been busy since I started going back post-pandemic.

Enjoyed Deadpool and Wolverine. The story is quite by the numbers but lots of laughs along the way and the leads are great together. Lots of other interesting characters along the way. I did not see many of those cameos coming. Well done to Marvel focusing everyone's attention so much on villains in the trailers nobody thought to ask about heroes.
And the Cap/Jonny twist was very nicely done.
This may not be a film for Andu.

1. The Beekeeper 2. Argylle 3. Madame Web 4. Dune Part 2 5. Ghostbusters Frozen Empire 6. Monkey Man 7. Civil War 8. Godzilla x Kong : The New World 9. Star Wars Epiode One: The Phantom Menace (4DX) 10. IF 11. Transformers 40th Annivarsary Screening - 12. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 13. The Fall Guy 14. Bad Boys: Ride or Die 15. Inside Out 2 - The first didnt leave a big impression on me, but this felt like old school Pixar. 16. Fly Me to the Moon - Nothing special but a fun way to pass a couple of hours. 17. Dispicable Me 4 - These really are better than the need to be. 18. Deadpool and Wolverine - Slightly mixed feelings it does a lot very well, but parts of it didnt quite hit how I think they were meant to. Spoiler I really love that this was about saying goodbye to the Fox Marvel films rather than the MCU introduction of the X universe.
Its really probably best not to over think certain parts of the plot, it does nothing to improve the X-men timeline.

Its really probably best not to over think certain parts of the plot You're not wrong there. The critics hated, it but apparently it had a record-breaking opening for its age rating, and I enjoyed it enough that I'll probably see it through again this week. Whereas when I saw 'Logan' in the cinema I thought it was a superb film that I would never feel a desire to watch through again. I tried to re-watch it on the telly this week, watched it for 20 minutes, and concluded that yes, it was excellent but I don't want to watch any more of it, so switched to whatever was being repeated on Dave. 'Logan' depressed the fuck out of me. What a dour end to the X-Men. All your favourites died off screen between films! Killed by Charles when he went mad!
But now Charles is dead! Now Wolverine is dead!
Have a nice time, audience!
Fuck off.

Martin Much the same. Im yet to rewatch Logan. But definitely aim to rewatch Deadpool 3 soon. Oddly the reviewers I watch on Youtube generally were positive about it when I assumed they'd dislike it, while the one I thought would be positive about had more issues with it that expected. And honestly as much as I enjoyed it I dont think I could argue against a lot of the complaints about it, I see them but the fun just outweighs them.

What's the etiquette for when someone's kicking the back of your chair in a busy cinema?
Or on the quiet dialogue part where character's emotions and motivations are explored in an otherwise loud action film when at that one moment of audience empathetic engagement someone decides to take out their bag of soft plastic encased junk food and rustle like their lives depended on it. Could you not wait 2 minutes for when the musical score starts up again?
Or, is it these moments that contribute to the unique shared experience of cinema going and it wouldn't be as special without?
Oh yeah, Deadpool and Wolverine. Enjoyed it for what it was. You don't really go into this film for the plot.

Audiences have got worse since covid. I now sit down the front wherever possible so I can avoid the arseholes (especially the ones who constantly play on their very bright phones).
I still have to walk out of screenings sometimes as people will just not shut the fuck up.

Watched D&W again today, possibly enjoyed it even more on a second viewing. I know a few people who are going back to watch it through again, so it must be doing something right. It's just entertaining cinema, that's all - what more do the critics think it ought to be?
