Still hoping one day for a 87 toon accurate Splinter Here's the release schedule between October this year and December 2020. That's pretty much 20 figures on the way if they stick to 4 per wave. Wave 1 - October 2019 Wave 2 - March 2020 Wave 3 - June 2020 Wave 4 - September 2020 Wave 5 - December 2020 It could be a while to assemble all 4 Turtles if Super-7 are doing one each wave.

The 1990 Shredder and Splinter figures are showing up at Gamestop.
Hopefully, they'll end up on other sites like Kapow too.

Every version of this set sold out in f***ing literal seconds because of scalper bots. Being stolen out of legitimate collectors shopping carts as they hit the "complete purchase" button. Now it's all over ebay for $300-$500 bucks.
Scalpers should be burned alive.

It does seem to be a major downside to this hobby generally, the uncertainty about whether or not it's going to be possible to actually buy the toys you want.

It does seem to be a major downside to this hobby generally, the uncertainty about whether or not it's going to be possible to actually buy the toys you want. Yeah but this is new. Scalpers were always a thing, but these bots are destroying it. If you paid your dues and put in the work, you used to stand a chance before the scalpers got them all. Now they sell out in less than five seconds. Now even those who sit there and constantly hits refresh as soon as the page reloads for an hour straight can't compete.

I wonder what chance there is of fans being able to explain this to stores and get a one per account limit put on these things. I suppose really they don't care.

Probably not - as long as they get the money that's all that matters. This really does suck though - it seems to have suddenly gotten a lot worse this year.

I gave up on Matty Collector back in the day as they made the product so hard to get. I liked their product and wanted to buy more but it was so much of a hassle that I stopped. They never changed their ways though, despite years of complaints from fans. The product sold out within minutes so that was good enough for them. That they could have made *more* money by making it easier for consumers to buy their product never seemed to be a concern.

The reissue Party Wagon has been selling in B&M Bargains for £19.99. I'd get one but I pre-ordered one elsewhere back in May and paid more than twice as much.
I have also acquired the Trek Crossover Turtles, Universal Monsters Crossover Turtles, Toon 4 Pack and Sewer Heroes 4 Pack.

Great to see TMNT toys back on the shelves again with the release of the Giant Turtles and reissued Storage Shells.
Lots more coming back from Playmates, including the Mutations line, Mondo Gecko, The Rat King etc.
The new movie stuff looks ace too!

Okay so. I don't understand TMNT toys anymore.
Playmates has had a really hard time keeping up with the times, and has not been able to get the collector's market the way Hasbro and Mattel, and other companies have. So they focus on the kids line and reissues, and start farming out the collector stuff to Neca, who focus on premium collector action figures based on the cartoon and comics. Stuff they don't do. So they then award Super7 a license, who then start making super premium action figures based on the original toy designs, with updated articulation. Close, but still not quite what Playmates does.
Then Rise is an unmitigated flop. Show was mildly successful (not really), but the toyline crashed and burned. Playmates goes quiet apart from some weird left field crossovers, and the occasional reissue of stuff that's been reissued dozens of times.
Enter MacFarlane. MacFarlane gets the license for the new movie. Full kid based line, with role play toys and gimmick figures and everything. They're farming out the kids line now. Makes sense, Rise was a disaster, and by giving the license out to others, Playmates doesn't take any risks.
But now they're doing their own full kids line for the movie.
I don't understand the angle.

Sell outs before I was even aware they were put up.

From what I understand Super 7 have lost the rights to make Playmates tribute figures and they're finishing those in the Ultimates line. I already have the likeness in my old favorites in owning those old favorites so I skipped on those from the start.
I though MacFarlane are handling the toys, but the images I've seen so far have been Playmates figures. Unless there's two different lines for Mutant Mayhem.

Well, MacFarlane announced their line a while back. It was the first time i heard of this movie. Then Playmates announced their line like two, three weeks ago?
Unless they're the same line as a joint effort, yet neither company mentioned the other?

I came across them in an Aldi today. I don't buy many TMNT toys but the four classic turtles for £9 a pop...I could not refuse.

The Storage Shell reissues are great. I got a set to keep on card and display as I have the original releases.
Judging by early prototype pics, the first Mutant Military wave is getting the reissue treatment this year.
