Mumm-Ra's let himself go since the 80s.

I like those roleplay weapons! I'd probably mod the nunchucks with an existing pair of real ones I own to get them just right!
I hope more figures turn up beside Tygus. Maybe the Drifter or some Berbils. Or better yet, familiars like Jackalman etc.

The first new figures link contains a show spoiler to those behind with the episodes. Whilst it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb, its something far worse than a sore thumb (or two) . Wave 2 Panthro has 'cybernetic' arms ala Jackson Briggs of Mortal Kombat. Perhaps the term 'eat your heart out' seems inappropriate.

Limited too. It's like the TMNT Christmas rationing of 1990 all over again.

Limited = demand = parents not being able to get toys = column inches in papers = free publicity when there's loads of them in the spring.
A work of genius. Twisted genius mind but nonetheless ....

I got Cheetara yesterday. Well made 3inch figure, shame about the bent bo-staff. I hope the Thunderlynx gimmick turns out good.

Picked up some Thundercats today.
Very nice - the winner is Lizard with Lizard cannon. Fantastic toy. Mumm-Ra in mummy form is a bit pants.

Indeed. They are surprisingly decent, with the exception of Mumm-Ra, who is Happy Meal toy quality.
Not sure I would spring for any figures myself, but not too shabby in general. Lizard is great!

Behold the glory of the depressed narrator from Bandai America's promo vid on their youtube channel. He needs cheer in his life.

Blaise really loves playing with The Thundertank all the time and has even found out how to work the Thunderlynx gimmick. That's play development!
I like the small assortment of figs, but they fall short badly in the weapons department. They are all sort and gummy, and I've lost Cheetara's staff already. I got the accessories stored away anyway because of the baby and because they suck. A third party with resources could really capitalize on this shortcoming.

I saw the Thundertank in Tesco today, though nothing else. First time I've seen any of the range in a shop.

I've only seen the figs in The Entertainer. Nowhere else my end seems to stock Thundercats.

Tescos.
I'm getting the feeling the line is tanking big time.

The impression I get from looking in Smyths around here is that it is doing about as well as everything else that is not marked down - i.e not very well. I've not seen it available anywhere else, but Falkirk is oddly spotty for toy distribution other than Smyths so I don't really take that as diagnostic.
Not really had the urge to buy any of it myself mind - although the Lizard Cannon has a certain charm.

It's been very warmly received within the trade. Of course, I haven't had any in stock to try selling it - I must dig out the Bandai business card I picked up at last year's Toy Fair.

The vehicle with figure sets are currently £3.75 in a TESCO sale. Thundertanks are down to £25.

Basic figures are (sadly) 99p in Home Bargains. At that price, I finally caved and bought Lion-O. The only other one they had was Mumm-Ra, who is the one character whose redesign I don't like.
They also had Lion's roleplay claw at, I think, £7.99.

Amusingly, on checking HB today after a week away, the only TC's stuff that had shifted were the Classics figures. No-one gives a shit about the 2011 style line. Not even the 7-inch figures at 99p!
They even have later wave figures such as Grune which I never saw at full retail.

My 99p Lion-O was the start of a slippery slope - I bought Panthro on my next visit and have just bought the Thundertank after discovering it for just £8.50 on Amazon! I hope my branch gets as much in as Ralph's!
