Wow. Those look excellent. I have long thought there was the potential for a Thundercats classics line in the vein of the MOTU ones. However this does potentially open up a world of Matty Collector shaped pain though. Not for the faint hearted.

You know, that thought didn't actually occur to me - I was too busy musing whether he was a Kizinti or from the Khanate of Orion. (To work out what the odds were of him coming anywhere near keeping his word). :-)

Also, for a line launch - odd characters. Lion-O yes, but Pumyra? Are these just remoulds of existing MOTU figures and they're doing a best fit? why not Cheetarah?

I imagine they're trying to stagger out the A-listers so not to exhaust the line in the first wave. And at least Pumyra got a decent showing in the new cartoon (I seem to recall)

Yes, but the line has shrunk already from what was initially announced.
I think it will fail to last the course.

Ah, I didn't realise this was a subscription only thing, but why then is there a sub only exclusive when there doesn't seem to be any other way to get them? I was thinking this would be an online shop type purchase. So it's like TFSS and is $25 per figure plus postage... www.clubs.mattycollector.com/store/mattycol/en_US/pd/ThemeID.29372800/productID.332597900#.Vsc9bPmLTGiI really want these. But I don't want a random set of five with potentially no more to follow, and I don't want to have to contend with an overseas subscription service to get them. Sigh. Guess these will escape me.

You're right, it doesn't. I can't work it out, but I'm not familiar with the way Mattel do things. Is this wave of four likely to be sold singly? The fact the Mumm-Ra is a subscription only incentive makes it sound like they will be, but BBTS don't think so as they're offering them each at a ridiculous markup based on buying in sets of subs like they do with TFSS.
Besides, apart from the Lion-O the Mumm-Ra is the star of that set, so you'd want him anyway.

Yes, it's like their He-Man line.
You need to sub up to get the figures, anything unsold might find it's way to random shops.
I was interested, until they cut a figure from the lineup just before the subs went up.

I knew this was going to happen if I started re-reading the Thundercats comics. The question is... how many more before the itch is scratched? This Mumm-Ra's arms are working, but I don't know if the eyes light up yet because the battery clip in the power ring is broken. So that's kaput, but the actual eyes in the toy might not be.

Depends on completeness and rarity I think. That Mumm-Ra was complete but the light up eyes feature doesn't work. I got it for £6.50 plus post.
However, if you have Thundercats to sell then I am looking - especially if they're in good condition with weapons. Would love to know what you have.

What I SHOULD have, need to check are: Mumm-ra, complete with card Lion-O, complete with card Tygra, complete with card Cheetara, complete with card Wyle-e-kit, complete with card wyle-e-kat, complete with card snarf, complete with card Hammerhand, broken tubes, complete with card Ben-Gali, complete with card Pumyra, no idea where her sling is but sure I've seen it, with card PRETTY sure I have all the cards, they'll be under the bed somewhere! I know ben-Gali tends to be worth stupid money with his hammer, or at least he used to be

This is my childhood collection, which is why I'm looking for a decent price, but at the same time I hate using ebay so much! (I think some were my sisters as well, I'm currently selling off a lot of her stuff for her)

Wings ripped to shreds? Is that something that happens? Is it an age thing or play thing? Ive only got one Sectaur, but I never really plyed with it so it has lived in its box for 30 years. Am I going to find it diintergrated?
So many questions.

Am I going to find it diintergrated? So many questions. Nah, the glove puppet flies have really really fragile plastic wings so will naturally break with any play and you can't really store them safely. Boxed should be fine, it's loose that will inevitably be broken. I was always super careful with my toys and mine is trashed.

Oh I have done this. I did it all last weekend but didn't want to bother you because you said you had a busy week. Problem is the file is on my desktop and I'm away on this trip.
Quality is a factor. Did you check if they really are complete? My next move was to ask for some photos. Sold listings vary hugely on the early figures depending on interest at the time, but those wave three you have would go for at least fifty each, potentially near twice that if they're in excellent nick.

I got a Thundercat (I can't remember which) that wasn't the right colour, doesnt appear to be sun discolouration and does seem totally legit, but it turns out the online TC community arent as obbesses with variants as TF fans. At least that was my conclusion after scouring the net and finding almost no info on variants.
Severe culture shock.
I used to like it when car boot sales were full of Thundercats, nobody was asking for silly money unlike transformers and I could make a small fortune on ebay for some of them. Kind of wish I had kept some of the odd ball ones though.
