Very important for Tygra as there are two totally different versions. The original was replaced with a new sculpt when he was reissued.

But that seems to be one of the few anyone mentions. I think there were also some colour changes to weapons.
Compared to Transformers with page after page dedicated to the different shades of red used on Optimus Prime its.. different.

Maybe Thundercats fandom is just smaller? The number of toys is tiny in comparison. I dunno. I wouldn't want multiple figures with colour variants. Perhaps there it's more about the character than the toy.

I must admit I'm struggling with the look. Oddly it isn't that far from the original style, but it's a little too 'cute'. Somehow the villains work better. I've longed for new Thundercats though.

Torn - I'd like some new Thundercats, but they are a little too squashed. Probably to avoid Mattel going after them in case they have a patent on the actual toy designs.

It's really frustrating to finally be offered new Thundercats toys and for them to be so stylised. I'll have to get a couple just because, but there is definitely room for something else.

I have a couple of the Mortal Kombat toys in that style. The finalised Thundercats may turn out pretty good.

Looks like the Thundercats figures are still coming. I think I'll partake of the mutants, they work better in the deformed style than the Thundercats. Still not quite sure about them. |

They went up for pre-order on BBTS last week as well along with a load of the horror movie ones. I'm not convinced by the 'modern designs on retro toy' look but these do interest me. Especially Slithe, he was always my favourite figure. |

I certainly don't like the pops things. I can't figure their popularity at all. But I'm not going to let that prevent me from getting new Thundercats figures. If they're decent and not that squishy plastic then I wouldn't mind a small collection.

No idea. Just seems odd there were prototypes for a second wave at Toyfair last year, but not this time. The first wave came out recently.
