I think the X2 Toys one is supposed to fit into an Ark backdrop playset they were doing/are planning to do. That's one area where 3P could clean up imho. Give me some diorama playsets made from interlocking pieces and I'd be very happy. |

On the instruction manual - it shows the face plate - but is this for the Goldbug repaint because the pack only contains 2 Bumblebee faces

Revisited MP21.
Such a great figure.
Articulated good looking bot. Realistic alt mode, panels align well. Weapon storage. A few surprises in the transformation. Good head sculpt. Rolls well. Solid. No fakery in chest. What's not to love?
Also... 10 years since it was originally announced!!

I haven't had my MPs out for years, they're all packed away, but I am glad I got this MP Bee' before I stopped collecting Masterpieces. Superb representation of Bumblebee, perfect to feature with the few MPs that remain in my collection.
Reading back through this thread- I was into Masterpieces back then! How times change.

Well, I can understand why they fell out of favor with you. They never did Prowl in his iconic death scene. Such a glaring omission would make anyone lose interest!

MP-21 is a great little toy, and although I've fallen out of love with the Masterpiece line for some reason (money) I'll still not move it on. What I do like though is how the Netflix/WFC Bumblebee uses very similar engineering to the MP - means I can play with that one whilst not having to worry about damaging an actual Masterpiece...

Oh yeah, the transformation itself is great, it's more the concern about damaging the paint apps, etc, whilst handling it, because I can be a bit hashy bashy if I'm not careful...
