1. The Nutcracker and the Four Realms 2. Mission: Impossible - Fallout 3. Bumblebee 4. Solo - A Star Wars Story 5. Molly's Game 6. Black Panther 7. The Post 8. Bad Times at the El Royale 9. Robin Hood 10. Hotel Artemis 11. Avengers: Infinity War 12. Ant-Man and the Wasp 13. Sicario 2: Soldado 14. Slaughterhouse Rulez 15. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (wonderful script and direction - would be in the top 5 if it had been hand-drawn or live-action, or if I kept my eyes closed and imagined it in my head as a radio play) 16. Mortal Engines 17. The Predator 18. Hunter Killer 19. Venom 20. Tomb Raider 21. Johnny English Strikes Again 22. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom 23. Deadpool 2 24. Darkest Hour 25. Ocean's 8 26. Skyscraper 27. Ready Player One 28. Pacific Rim Uprising 29. The Commuter
Unfortunately it lands in the middle of my league table in terms of pure Martin enjoyment because the main animation style is one that I despise - CG animated characters (or moving waxworks, as they seem to me), particularly humans, tend to kill any movie for me. It's a testament to how good the film is otherwise that it isn't at the bottom of the table - and a testament to how good everyone else says it is that I went to see a CG-animated non-Lego movie at all. I'm glad that I did.

First viewing of Mary Poppins Returns was in IMAX. Second viewing was booked in the '4DX' format. Alas when I turned up the screening was cancelled as "a pigeon is loose in the 4DX equipment". So I saw 'Holmes and Watson' instead.
This was a poor decision.
If a pigeon stops you from seeing Emily Blunt just go home! Go home!

I instead saw 'Holmes and Watson', which was one of the worst films I have ever seen and everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves. At one point, a pigeon appeared on screen and I swore.

I remember very little of the original Mary Poppins, so a nostalgic sequel would be wasted on me. A deal... Martin sees Poppins, Ralph sees Bumblebee. Then Truth shall be known to all. I believe Ralph will see Bumblebee anyway, so no deal. Martin

The pigeon did not thwart me this day!!! Did you like the 4DX experience? I bought a ticket by mistake once and was not impressed. I like my comfort! But still have to sit through the not-exactly-true-to-life 4DX ad every time I watch a film. 2D Superscreen is now my preference at Cineworld (with a seat with bars in front to rest feet on). Second only to the recliner seats in Vue Leicester Square. Martin

But it turned out to be decent in its own right and the best live action TF film by a country mile. Well worth giving a shot especially with a cineworld card allowing you to see it effectively for free.

Local place doesn't have Superscreen so never tried it. My preferred formats are 2d IMAX or projected 35mm/70mm film. -Ralph
