The play features are gone from Armada Op? Of course they are.

I wouldn't have expected any; we don't live in a play features world these days. Given the absence of minicons though, I'd hope the base mode works with Siege Micromasters.

Original Armada Op's main gimmick is ripped off from a 2000 Sentai toy!

That's pretty much exactly what I was expecting to hear about Armada Prime. That is of course the Generations thing these days - screen accuracy, poseability, but no play features. So it might be a fun figure to pose, in which case I'll pick it up. But equally I won't be racing to get it.

It certainly seems legit. They can certainly take all my money for that

I've broken the big image down so it displays as large as possible in the forum width

The pose of the smaller bot mode isnt doing it any favours, but I think I prefer it to the overly manga/anime ish take of the original prototype.

This one looks like the original toy but with some articulation. Which is all I ever wanted from it.

That is looking nice. I have fond memories of Armada- my first venture back into Transformers with those lovely blocky designs.

The original was packed with play features. I fear this one will not. I don't give a shit about articulation.

Most of the rest of the world does, and it was one thing that was severely lacking in the original version.
What did the original one do aside from the articulation crippling auto TF?
I suggest if you want play features I suspect this is not for you and tracking down an original is the way to go - I can see opened boxed ones on eBay for less than the new Commander will be.

I keep expecting to see Siege Optimus' legs in this thing.

So.... The top of the trailer looks to be the back of the legs, with the bits hanging off the front (to our right) forming the heel spurs. Only problem with that is I can see the drum like structure at the front of the waist at the back of the truck, with what looks like the waist panel hanging behind the truck. So I think there must be a turntable joint between the bulk of the toy and the very back. The thigh panels are the rear of the sides, as far forward as the Autobot symbols. I *THINK* the blue bits at the front of the sides, to the right of the picture, fold back a bit and cover the grey panel as far as the vertical hinge with the panel between the hinge and the faction symbols folding over the blue bits and the rectangular hole locking round the tab. The grey piece should be slotted in upside down between the blue pieces at the front of the trailer and provide the hitch to the cab I read somewhere that the faction symbol on the cab was removable on a 5mm peg: that'll make it easy to swap out for a Decepticon one for Nemesis Prime. Could they sell that as the cab only? 5mm holes visible on the gun barrel, that must be what the leaker was referring to the other day when the smokestacks attached to the sides. Not a lot more I can see without better pics of the combined mode and alternate angles of the trailer.

It's just stunning at how much warden was holding the transformer team back.

My initial feelings are... I don't think I like it?
I was never a fan of the original supermode for whatever reason, but there's something about the smaller robot that's not hitting me right either.

He does have large... flaps.
Hope flaps.
And a long codpiece.
No kneecaps, weirdly.
Nice and chunky though. Chunk.
